We are getting closer to production on our 2011 GT CAI and wanted to give you some highlights of what we have been working on.
First off this will be our first kit with the MAF housing incorporated into the tube in both Carbon Fiber and Plastic versions. This makes for a smooth interior and a smooth look to the tube itself.
MAF size is still undetermined, but will be in the area of 110-112mm. We have been putting miles on our proto type 110mm kit for a few weeks now and drivability is great and power is awesome. Early testing showed gains of 20-26 RWHP with our CAI and tune, but we have more testing to come. If you see more “claimed” by others, ask them how. Also look over the dyno sheets real good for low number baseline runs or no dyno sheets at all.

Shown is a color matched version that is made from Rotational molded cross link plastic. Color matched versions will be 6-8 weeks away, but Carbon Fiber will be first.

We also have a huge ABC plastic airbox that uses the factory intake air duct from the grille. We also took it a step further and added a weather strip that seals it to the hood.

We totally reformed the intake for a smooth air path and overall look. We even took the interior sound tube into consideration. Some want it and some don’t, so we moved it to the inside and center of the tube. Caps will be provided so you can remove the tube and cap the fitting in the JLT tube. Because we lowered the fitting, when it’s capped it’s less noticeable at most angles looking into the engine compartment.

All JLT CAI kits will have all parts for manual and automatic, same part #. Automatic tubes need an additional fitting, which we provide. The fittings are Milled from solid billet aluminum and all you need to do is drill a ½” hole (we show you where) in the tube, install the supplied grommet, fitting and you’re done.

Final pricing has not been set, but our Carbon Fiber version will be cheaper then most on the market now and painted plastic will be even cheaper!

I know we are behind, but we are coming up fast and will be worth the wait!

Thank you for your patients. I'll have Carbon Fiber pictures in the next 2 weeks.
Jay

Looks great!

Keep up the good work. So realistically speaking, are we maybe 4-5 weeks out until I can have one on my car?

Reaslisticly speaking and full planet alignment, yes 4-5 weeks.

I'll have a carbon fiber version in 2 weeks or less and will have final pricing. At that point we will start taking pre orders.

Thanks for all the comments

Not sure if this has been answered elsewhere, but what is the interior sound tube and what does it do?

It was made by Honda for Ford. Allows the sound of Vtech kicking in to be heard inside the cabin.

I love that you are offering it with a plug to delete the hideous sound tube. by far the worst design Ford has ever came up with in my opinion.

Is your CAI made with a velocity stack molded into the filter side or is it a straight tube with no tapering running from the throttle body to the filter?

LOL:roflmao: that is very funny.

But the sound tube is so you can hear the new 5.0 engine inside the car because is a very quiet engine.

Close. But it's used to bring engine noise into the cabin becuse the inside of the car is so quiet people complained they couldn't hear the engine. It actually sounds kinda cool.

What kind of gains are you seeing from the CAI alone, without the tune?
Our no tune version gained 10-12 RWHP

We use S&B Powerstack filters with a smooth taper patented flange design.

Got it. Do you have a pic of it by chance?
