Id be real interested in seeing what long tubes will do
Good stuff, well documented, I'd like to see where you launch and shift at on runs as well if you don't mind, that is a big debate as well lol
Long tubes really arent that bad. I would get a belt to bypass the power steering and see what you could do with that because it is well documented it helps.
I wouldnt think it would hurt anything. I havent tried it yet but next season is going to be my real season I have tires and some other goodies that should help my lackluster driving.I bought a short belt just for the track to try this it's a 650k6 and fits great, I tried it out, now I don't have a problem turning even though it's a bit difficult, but what I am wondering is if it will break something by putting more stress on that skinny rod?
Would it be possible to run (or even find) a belt that would bypass the ps and ac just for track use? Like I said, I've never had my car to the track but if I do take it I want all the power I can get.
So basically it's not pulling any HP down turned off?

You probably already know this and it goes against your go still I guess but a belt swap takes about 10 min. with simple tools.I don't want to do this just yet. I have a goal to run this car as quick as possible as it sits in my driveway.
I want to drive it down, lower the tire pressure in the rear, and race it.
After I feel that I have tapped it out, I will start doing things like the short belt, and removing weight like the spare tire, jack, passenger seat.
