This is my mineral grey 05 GT. I used all Ford parts, and original GT500 takeoff parts. I built it as a recreation, or clone, so it's pretty close to the real thing. The only thing I didn't do correct to a GT500 is the painted side skirts, and lower portion of the rear bumper on the sides...And the color obviously isn't correct. I do have the correct side skirts as well, but the painted ones just look better. I did change it up a bit and used the "red stripe" emblems, and went with side stripes only.

Sure looks like you enjoy mineral grey.. Great looking car man! :thumb:
It gets deeper than that even. I've had 4 vehicles this exact color (2 '03 cobras, 05 GT, 05 Honda VTX 1800 motorcycle).. I get a lot of crap for it on my local board. I don't pick them for the color, they just seem to fall my direction.

And thanks guys. I know how a lot of you feel about GT500 wannabe's, but I didn't want to just do a badge or two, I wanted it as complete and accurate as a representation of the real thing as I could get it.

I still have one of them, it's the TT one in my sig. The other one was just my daily driver, and I sold it to buy this 05.

Looks great, now time to mod it and give it the power to backup its exterior.

it's not without a 5.4 4V and a TR6060 either...... :hi:
Visually it's a clone, which is what I was going for. And I actually have a TR6060 for it. I've only had the car since December, so it's a work in progress.

Yeah true and since they don't make them in that color it's unique. pretty cool, and why the TR6060? what else do you have planned for it??:evillaugh:

Honestly I'm considering selling the TR6060, Dex mentioned it in his for sale thread. I don't know yet what direction I'm going with the engine. I'm sort of torn between a single turbo, some type of roots blower, or some sort of engine swap.

And thanks for the compliments, I don't expect everyone to agree with the direction I chose with the car, but after all, it's mine and as long as I like it, well, that's all that matters.
