Need help removing steeda underdrive pulleys

I've searched and searched. I just need help please. I got the crank bolt out but the pulley just won't budge we have the pulley remover but it ain't budging any ideas?

Make sure you have the correct puller & put a little pb blater on it & let it sit for a while.


It will come off.

Depending on the puller you have you may need the longer crank bolt slightly in still so the puller has something to push against in the center. Then use a wrench on the puller, it will come out.

Did the washer come off with the bolt? Sometimes the washer stays on due to the rtv. I've made the mistake myself.

Another question is the iat relocation really necessary for the vortech kit?

Necessary- eh, probably not, but that depends on who's tune your running- extremely, extremely beneficial- absolutely.

The IAT located pre-blower is worthless for you now. You might as well leave it disconnected. It's input will be completely useless.

Post-blower and you'll be able to advance/retard timing based on the temperature of the compressed air- this is a HUGE advantage for both safety and power.

If your puller's jaws won't grab the inside ribs of the pulley then you'll need to grab onto the outside edge instead.

It'll be tough with a typical jaw style puller- I have a couple of three jaw pullers and they weren't doing the job when I removed my Steeda crank pulley. I bought something like this:

...and had it off in 5 minutes.

This is the one you need for the steeda pulleys, not the 3 jaw puller. That one is used only for the stock pulley.
