Here's were I'm at JBA couldn't fit me in till next Tuesday so I ended up going to a local shop who is a friend of the family and had the cats put on. He said there was a gasket loose so he tightened it up and the air intake was off. That is the third time that happened! The car is inspected now that the cats are in but I had to take the tint out too. I just installed the new tune from AM and all sounds ok to me... BUT... The JLT intake won't stay on!!! I'm going to post some pics but it looks like the hood is wedging it down so what I think is happening is as the motor flex's it's working it self loose. I just don't get why it's siting so high, Sunday I plan on taking it out and seeing if I can drop the heat shield lower and if not them I'm breaking out the jigsaw and cutting that shit down. In the picks you'll see that the hood is raised about a quarter inch on the driver side due to it sitting on heat shield/air intake. I'm also going to try and post a short vid of how the exhaust sounds at idle, let me know it it sounds normal to you guys. I have nothing to base it off of...

Man was hoping better news. Sorry to hear. I am guessing that the stalling at lights is vacuum leak from intake coming off

Look underneath the intake shield and see if there are rubber discs/spacers sitting in the airbox alignment holes in the fender. If there are, pull them out and see if the air box sits lower so the hood will not hit it. Also try looking for disconnected vacuum lines.

If your wrench light is coming on at every light and you keep restarting the car and driving it instead of fixing the problem, then I'm afraid none of us can be of much help to you. Operator error is possibly the biggest problem with your car.

Yeah I guess :0(
I'm going to get the intake shit Fixed and see if that helps but if it comes on after that then I know for sure there's something else happening.

If its coming off every time you close the hood then you are driving around with an intake that is not hooked up. i hada hose pop off on one of my older mustang intakes and at every light car stalled. I pulled over after second light, saw issue and walla! unless i am missing something, your closing hood and knocking intake off, that 100% is going to cause you to stall or almost stall every time you slow down or stop. I would spend the day getting it to fit right or get one that does and hopefully that squares car away. Good luck

Probably just the rare breed of Mustangs out there that are sitting on car lots with 7 cylinders. Congrats on your purchase!!:omfg::thumb2:

Check to see if the OEM motor mounts are even on the car. Maybe the previous owner had aftermarked motor mounts and a different hood when he took it to the track to wring it out and put the stock hood back on to sell.

I think your problem might be that you've got an intake for a stock manifold installed on a BOSS manifold.

According to JLT their intakes fit either BOSS or stock intake and even crap, shower, and shave you in the mornings. They claim you won't even need a wife if you buy their intake, they are the pinnacle of CAI in the universe!!!!!!!! Equivalent to a 200 shot of juice!!! I wish I could afford a JLT......

BFH to CAI and fitment corrected!!

HAHAHAHA I though maybe the stock throttlebody is play a part but the website does say it should fit. The heat shield obviously doesn't fit ATM but that fucker will fit when I'm done with it

I know JLT works for both. Steeda I think you have to have an adapter for the Boss 302 version. Not sure about Airraid.

The rubber piece I had on the airraid I had in my 6 was tight as shit but the one on this JLT just slips on with no trouble. I can't imagine that it stretch out that bad.
