These sure sound different than forensicsteve's spr stage 3. But his I'm pretty sure are the blower grind. Maybe that's why his idle's EXTREMELY rough. Although I would have expected the N/A grind to have a rougher idle. Hmm.

I remember another contributor's response (Don W I think) to a similar discussion being "I want a fast street car, not a slow race car".
Actually, that was Hawgman, not me. I opted for the "slow race car and marginally dependable street car" alternative. :thud:

Thanks for the kudos guys! I'll get the outside video up tonight. Had a problem with my software earlier. I'll fix it when I get home.

LOL... Thanks Doug.

If you come down on break or something, we can get together. 3 seasons a year, every Friday and Saturday there is some car club having a show in NOVA and the NVMC meets twice a month. It will be fun to catch up and hang out.

Ah, good point on the grind type. Although, like you, I would think the NA grind would sound more aggressive too.

Maybe, once I have the tune dialed in and I can lower the idle, it will sound better.

Yea, mine doesn't sound anything like that. Not sure why.

Who's car is that?

Well perhaps it is the idle. Yours is pretty high. ;)

Set it between 700 and 800 or whatever and it should get lopey.

Also, could you get a video of it idling while standing behind? Maybe with the way it's setup now and after you change the idle later.

yes PLEASE get an idle video up of the car. Lower the idle down a tad if you can I have to hear these cams before I jump on them.

Yeah, having the idle set up around 1K will take the lope right out of the cams. FWIW, the lope is caused by the overlap which is something that is limited in FI applications. The short version is that the N/A cams at the same RPM in idle should have the rougher idle (assuming that I am reading the specs on the cams correctly LOL). I run my Mutha Thumpr's at 725 and have no issues with stalling or dying if that helps.

My problem is the tune is not right. I am waiting to hear from Doug on what I need to do to fix it.

The rain stopped, so I set the idle to 725 and recorded it. It is uploading to YouTube as we speak.... well... type. It does sound a lot better.

I just got on youtube and watched the "idle" video of the car. Sounds wicked. should be ordering all my stuff this evening.
