I predict at least three trips to HD in order to get all your sinks hooked up. Well, unless you buy half the plumbing isle on your first trip. Hooking up sinks always seems to involve way too many complications IMO. It looks really simple and should be, but damned if something doesn't fit.

You jinxed me, you focker, ..... lol.

I bought a full bucket worth of PVC crap this morning, forgot the water supply lines that go from the water valves under the counter to the new faucet.

Went back, bought the lines, didn't buy more PVC pipe cement and primer.
Hooked up the new bathroom faucet, went to hook up the drain, the only pipe cement I had was gelled, so that was no good.
Gonna be making a 3rd trip to HD for supplies tomorrow morning, and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna need at least one more trip for the kitchen sink


But on a positive note, the new countertops got installed today, along with the new kitchen sink:

Thanks, and yeah we went with the same height as the kitchen counter instead of the usual lower bathroom vanity set-up

Got the new range hood installed today, along with the last upper cabinet on that wall, the one to the right of the hood, and got the stove in its spot, nice and level:

Also got the bathroom faucet drain working, and we now have a fully functioning bathroom vanity and toilet

This morning I also had a plumber over at the house, to replace an oversized heater baseboard in one of the bedrooms, went from a unit that was going on 2 walls to a more fitting 10-foot unit, on just one wall.

Also, the girlfriend was nice enough to continue sanding the doors, getting them ready for primer and paint:

The bathroom thing is a big deal. I remember distinctly how satisfied I felt when I finally got a fully functioning bathroom.

The doors look like a lot of work. I'm lazy and doors are cheap, I bought new ones rather than trying to patch up old crappy doors and busted up door jambs. If you don't need the jambs then the door slabs are really cheap.

Got the kitchen faucet installed today, along with the little soap dispenser next to it, and got the drain all set.
Fixed a small leak at the bathroom sink drain, got the whole living room ceiling and all its walls sanded between myself and my GF, and I installed a new water spigot on the right side of the house, replacing an old unit which leaked horribly.

Love the new kitchen faucet, just wish that I had the water hooked up to it.
That's something I'm still working on, since apparently it's gonna take at least 5 trips to HD to get the sinks hooked up.

Over 10 hours spent working on the house today and I have no pictures, lol.
The girlfriend painted the old window frames in the sun room and living room, sanding them first (they were primed a few weeks ago but she wanted them super smooth), then 2 coats of paint.

I started the day by putting on the first skim coat on the living room ceiling, it dried quickly while we were at lunch and ran a couple other errands, I then put on a second coat of mud on there, and finished the day by plumbing the kitchen faucet, so it now works too

A full day of work, come home after 9PM to a much needed shower, getting ready to spend half the day tomorrow back there working some more.
Sunday is the NH Mustang Club's "Mustang Mania" car show at the Budweiser plant in Merrimack, NH, so we need to take some time tomorrow to get the cars ready for that.

Got a third skim coat of mud on the living room ceiling today, then installed the new doors on both pantries finally giving us a good look at what the kitchen will soon look like.

Finally got the living room ceiling smoothed out today.
Took 4 coats of joint compound being skimmed on, and 3 sanding sessions, but it's smooth and I can't wait to get it painted:

On my way out of there today, I went out back and took a few pics of the back yard and the flowers that my GF has been nursing back to health ... I love this place, I so can't wait to live here every day!

Today the living room walls and ceiling got primed, hallway walls and ceiling got primed, and the living room ceiling also got its first coat of paint today.
I then did a quick second coat around the recessed light buckets so that I could finally install the LED lights in there
Tomorrow the second coat goes on, then the walls will finally get paint!

I'm still in disbelief that *I* did the smoothing out of the living room ceiling when I look at how nice it came out

Today My GF and I cut-in the living room and hallway walls, I then painted the living room and hallway with 2 coats of paint, she also cut-in the second of the 2 larger bedrooms, and I then painted that room too, with 2 coats of the same paint.
We now only have one room not painted yet, the small bedroom.
Scheduled for paint tomorrow or Friday at the latest.

I also finally installed the new small chandelier that we've had for about 4 months:

Tomorrow some of that ^^^ hardwood is finally gonna get installed, and some of the windows are gonna get trimmed.
My GF's brother-in-law (the contractor) is coming over to help

No central air.
We're looking into it, but for now it's gonna be window & wall units.
