No more dangerous than it is to run Zex, Nitrous Express (NX), or any one of several other nitrous oxide (N2O) kits.

Not sure about NOS. But NITROUS OXIDE can work wonders. :roflmao:

And yes, with the right shot and tune it is safe. Try Brenspeed.

Just wanted to ask how safe is it to run NOS on these cars. I have a GT 2008 with minor bolt ons.

I have a NOS wet kit with 50 and 75 hp jets. I'm using Ford Racing colder plugs and I had it dynotuned so the A/F ratio is safe. I got my kit for $435 on Ebay brand new and I also bought a bottle heater and blanket. So far, I love it!

If you get a mail order tune for any kind of forced induction/nitrous you are asking for trouble, i dont care what anyone tells you on the internet. Get the thing dyno tuned by someone competent if you do something like that.

Although it's always a good idea to get a dyno tune "if available", stating that "a mail order tune for any kind of forced induction is asking for trouble", is rather naive. Numerous tuners have proven time and time again that their mail order tunes are very safe.

50/75hp jets with cold plugs? lol I changed to the hto's @ 125 shot then had to get the gt500 pumps at 150 lol. You only need hto's after 100shot if you are really weary lol.

Yes and this is coming from the person that is saying that a nitrous set-up will increase charge density... I mean you are saying forced induction right? lol No you can get a good mail order tune for nitrous or some blower set-ups that are pretty safe. Just test the tune for its af/r and watch the timming thats all. Of course a dyno tune will always yield the best results and be the safest but that doesn't mean a mail order is crap.

Without turning this into a "my tuner guy is better than your tuner guy" thread, its stupid to run the tune that the FI/Nitrous company gives you and think your car will have no flaws what so ever.

before this turns into a complete I have no experience with n2o kits yet I like to blabber all I want. can you tell me 1 nitrous kit that comes with a tune from the manufacturer? zex doesn't, nos doesn't.
