well, just got the car back from being tuned and i'm not happy at all. there are issues with the torque converter staying lock at over 4000rpm. the tuner isn't happy either and wants to mess with the car next week to work on the trans shifting and tune it better and try to figure out why the convert isn't staying lock. i needed the car for this weekend so i had to take it.

driving it seems just like stock and i'm not impressed at all. it is peaking about 9psi and has the ford racing intake and o/r x and seeing 410ish at the wheels, but i'm losing power due to the TC not staying locked. i hope things improve because i feel like i wasted a lot of money at this point.

i would rather push the limits more on the stock block then be unhappy but i'm sure the guy tuning the car will work out the kinks much more. he's a great tuner and he's far from happy and didn't like me taking the car. another issue is the the car is a roush and they flash the computer to something completely different and he's starting pretty much from scratch with the tune and having to work with some different things... due to roush.

all in all, i'm liking the e-force MUCH better and glad that is one my other car.

oh, and the gauges SUCK! if you saw my thread on gauges and being connected to the dimmer, i'm not happy with how they turned out either. one is bright as hell and doesn't dim worth a shit and the other is not too bad.

over all..... this has been a major pile of wasted money and effort so far, but i'm sure it will turn around once travis works he's magic.

Dont give up.. Its not the prochagers fault(unless broken some how)..

You have a tuning issue or converter issue.. People can get 600wrhp with that SC.. the question is whats stopping you from getting it..

What did you get from the dyno.. do you have it?

Agreed! Don't give up and get frustrated yet. Work with your tuner. Im sure as soon as he gets things sorted you will be one happy mofo! Remember I made 588 with my P1. So the potential is there.

personally i would think a PD blower would be a lot better on an auto car and a centrifugal on a stick. swap the blowers lol

Ugh..... I have been broken down in a parking lot for 2 hours! Something is Fucked with the gt500 pumps now, it seems. I'll write more when I get home.

i have 4 cars between my fiancee and i..... silver gt is at gear heads, roush is going back to gear heads, her 350z is at discount tire and my saturn with 120k miles is going strong, lol.

shit happens, and the owner of gear heads was on the phone with me for about 2 hours trouble shooting stuff with me. i'm very happy with his help and when you change things anything can happen.

as for what's going on with the car tonight, the pumps never run and i checked all fuses and plugs and those are fine. felt the relay in the truck and it's clicking so it's being activated. i'm thinking that maybe the gt500 pump just went to shit. it's odd because the car was in the dyno for about 6 hours total and i drove it 60 miles home too, lol.

i have the stock converter too.

well, i talked to the shop this morning and my air intake hose pooped off the racing intake.... i completely overlooked that and i was warned that it could happen.

I used to have that problem with the piping into the TB popping off under boost. I took some brake clean and sprayed it around the inside of the coupler and put it back on. Seems to have solved the problem. If that doesn't work im getting some t-clamps

I had that happen on a dyno at 6K.. scared the shit out of all of us.. haha..

The coupler I had was a cheap ass thin rubber one.. make sure you have a better one then that and then t-clamp the shit on. I think its a 5 inch clamp would work..

as for the gt500 pumps make sure your fuel pressure is good.. If you dont have an aeroforce gauge try to datalog it. you can see what it is without driving. There could be so many issues with that alone.. haha Aslo the datalog will help your tuners see other issues.

Anyway, just keep working it. take time and verify anything you can

Hopefully it all works out for ya man... I'd like to see that Roush in here one day when it's running good. I'll swap ya a ride in the Roush for a ride in the F1! :D
