So I just got back from about a 700 mile road trip to florida. I got around 26MPG doing 10 over, my #8 piston seems to be working properly, and the MT82 shifted flawlessly in 100*+ weather. I drove backroads pretty much the whole way which meant up shifting and down shifting constantly and the clutch never once took a dump. Something has to be wrong here. I was almost certain i would be stuck in florida until the end of time due to the new mustang reliability issues..
BTW, the all-weather floor mats that ford sells for the mustang are top notch. Helped keep the sand out of the car. If anyone lives in an area where debris and dirt get in the car a lot you might want to think about picking you up a set of these. The GF got me them before we left and i'm glad she did. Here is a great article about them on SVTperformance and are the exact ones i got.
