Well i've had my share of racing, but not on a public street fast and furious style......

If you're stupid enough to do this, i'm sure you're stupid enough to do other things to the car....

While not legal, racing your car on a public street is by no means beating the shit out of it... I would hope the new holy grail of mustangs can withstand a street race.

I wouldn't consider a street race, like the one posted, to be beating on a car. Street racing isn't the smartest thing to do, but it's actually easier on it than at the drag strip with slicks, or an autocross, or a road course. These cars can handle all those things without failure. There's something else (tune) causing it.

Did the car have the engine tick or anything?

No it didn't have the engine tick.

That was in Detroit were it's completely legal.

The track is where cars get beaten up.

There's a $1700 rotating assembly:

here:http://www.modularmustangracing.com/2011_parts.htm

Is this something you'd consider if you were in my position?

What spacing would you get? There's a drop down menu if you put that assembly in your "shopping cart".

How the fuck is street racing legal in Detroit? I doubt it is.

Hardly completely legal - not even technically legal to street race in Detroit. Just ask all the people injured by street racers, or better yet, ask the family of those who were killed by street racers in Detroit. Innocent people, minding their own business - one just leaving a school function, when a street race took them out.

I'd like to know details, FULL details of this guys sequence of build and how/what happened with truth and honesty so some light could be shed from an actual member that isn't going to bail when the heat gets hot in the kitchen.

Spill the beans in full detail!

Yea riiight... I'd rather rock a stock 5.0 with a few suspension mods and run deep into 12s all day long problem free than mod a 3v to run same times. But don't get me wrong, I love my 2010 LOL. It's like a retarded step brother of mustang world. So unique

my 10 has a tune and exhaust on it, and comparing it "daily driving" style with a new 11 a year ago, i really couldn't tell a major difference in power between the two. sure the 11 would be faster on a drag strip, but until recently, we didn't even have one open around here... and because it was closed so long, i got out of the habit of going lol.

then again, my daily driver is a CBR1000RR so all cars feel slow in comparison :nana1:

I would know.

The only injuries that are caused at the street races are when someone hits a Detroiters caprice that's sitting on 26 inch rims. I know about everything that goes on there and the only time someone gets shot is when you hit a jangsta'z car honestly. The animal shot the guy in the neck because of an accident. As if a stupid car is worth a human life. It's Detroit, races or not it's dangerous. I'm not going to be posting anything else about street racing... It's completely off topic. You can mesage me about it if you want...sorry guys.

Thank you... More then happy to answer any question.

Have you adjusted timing in anyway with the sct tuner?

No, I don't mess with any of the settings.

Lol, I think it's pretty funny that some feel that I have something to hide.

Did you ever have your current tune checked via datalog or dyno tuning session or was this just a straight email tune loaded?

I bought a Steeda CAI and tune from Steeda. I had the Steeda tune on it for under 1,000 miles. A friend of mine recommend the Brenspeed tune and said my car would be faster with it so I went with the Brenspeed tune. I've ran that Brenspeed tune for about 7k+ miles.

Car was built Feb 28,2011 I ordered it January.
2012 , 3.73 , stainless work LT headers, high flow cats, catbacks, tune, CAI, Steeda LCA.
I've had this car for about 3 months.

If you had a 93 tune did you always use 93 gas or did you ever use gas with a lower octane level?

This is my 4th Mustang, I have never used any other octane. 93 ALWAYS stock or modded.

I always get my gas from the same gas station where I know it's always fresh.
