Today I went and checked out the tile work, they actually put in the wrong color backsplash, so the tile guy will be eating that job!

Nice house! I would love for us to buy a new construction home right now. With the current market, I could sell my current home for a pretty nice return, or even rent it out and make about 4-500 a month income off it. I'm hoping next year we can look around.

I'd like to borrow those colors from the master bath. 17 years of white tile has been a pain in the ass. With those colors I may never need to clean my shower again! :snoopy

?. It's a 1/3 acre lot. Which is much larger than our last lot. And in auburn, it's a lot of lot, most are less than a 1/4 acre. Like 7000 sqft. Unless you want to pay 400k or more. This house was 290k

This is a pretty damn big house for just me, my wife and our 2 year old son. Lol.

Wow 290k? My 2000 sq-ft house and 4.9 acres for 199,9k was a steal. Congrats on the new house.

I love how the garage door is on the side. It looks like you're getting some pretty nice finishes, too. What color is the backsplash supposed to be?

Yeah housing is pricey here. We could of gotten some acreage and a nice house for the same price, but it would have come with a 30 minute commute, and crappy school districts, and the one thing I couldn't live without.. Internet! Lol

Auburn school districts are top rated so we pay for it in real estate.

Thanks man! Side garage was on my must haves list. The builder has pretty high standards on builder grade, we upgraded to better hardwood (5" wide) and upgraded landscaping, and stone accents on te outside. Like the shower being tiled is all standard. Backsplash is standard, ours is upgraded with the accent and diamond lay, vs square lay.

It's a lighter color called ivory and the accent is supposed to be glass rectangles.
They are fixing it lol.

Looks like today they are finishing the exterior. Brickwork and stone accents.

Very cool. The current backsplash looks nice, but I'm excited to see the one you and your wife had picked out.

Yes, a 3,200 sq ft home is HUGE. Especially for just 3 people.

Yeah housing is pricey here.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! No way. Come to Kalifornia hahaha. Fricken small house 1/2 that size in a decent neighborhood is $450K-$500K. I think you got a screaming deal for a brand new, 3200+ sq ft house on a 7,000 sq foot lot. BTW, 40,000 sq ft is 1 acre. So its a little less than 1/4 acre.

x2 for NY Metro area. Co-op apartments in my area go for $290K or more, no land, just the walls and rooms.

I really want to move sometimes..

Come to the East Coast then. Seriously. Good racing, 20 minutes away from international airport, and 4400 sqft house with 2200 sqft garage space on 80k sqft lot for that same amount.

Lol no I meant most houses have 7000sqft lots, ours is a 1/3 acre.

Well yeah, I guess it's not pricey, but it's pricey to where I come from (alabama) I lived by the gulf in south alabama before and my last house was 242k it was 3000sqft 1 story with 1/4 acre brand new and all brick.

Thanks man! We are too! Tile guy probably isn't too happy tho !

If the garage was 4400 sq ft and the house was 2200 sq ft that would be my dream home lol. Two acres, I could put a concrete pad in front of the garage and a Christmas tree.....and practice my 60's LOL. With burnout box and shut down area I think 250 feet would do it.

Even better (1/3 acre). I think you are getting a deal for that size house, brand new, judging by the pics and how the interior is being finished.
