How lean?

lito said "Car is very lean but is keeping a very high idle, sure there are no leaks?" so im going to recheck for any vac leaks, i didnt actually feel around. i did overtighten the manifold in the beginning a bit due to mis-reading my torque wrench, but I loosened it up, lifted it up and then retorqued it correctly after that so hopefully its not there lol

Have you tried checking for leaks with either or carb cleaner?

can't say ive ever done that before but that sounds like a pretty nice idea. i'll give a little spray around the manifold and pray to god it isnt one of the intake seals.

Works like a charm.

And if you can't keep the car running long enough to test it unplug the MAF sensor. It will trip the ECU into limp home mode and it will idle.

So I found the vac leak lol.. honestly I'm not going to even post where it was leaking from its that embarrassing haha

by the way, there are some extra washers and bolts included in the kit right? because I do have a handful of left over hardware that I never used.. LOL hopefully nothing's missing. Going to have to do a once over again to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Go back through all your vacuum ports on the intake from the MAF to the intake ports. Trace every one out to see if there's something leaking or disconnected. Dunno about that TVS but my Roush M90 had a vacuum line running from the bottom of the intake manifold back to the blower elbow, designed to keep oil from puddling in the bottom of the intake.

It wasn't a line..................................................... lol

So I somehow missed putting in one of the bolts that hold the supercharger to the manifold. It was by itself all the way in the back. I have no idea how I totally wiffed on that. I took the belt off, loosened up all the bolts then stuck the missing one in and torqued them back down to spec. Idles like stock now lmao

Right. Well I've never even heard a supercharger in person really so I didn't immediately distinguish that leak sound apart from the spin of the supercharger itself. Now to button up the bumper cover and a few other odds and ends.

There is no way you could have heard that. Blown motors are a bitch to diagnose vacuum leaks on.

The first time you go WOT and it turns the tires to goo you'll forget about the entire install.

I've always run stock cats with my forced induction setups. Never had an issue. I did have the cat protection come on when I was running low spark advance with my first FI tune, be aware that making a lower hp tune by keeping the ignition timing low will make the exhaust very hot.

I keep the cat, exhaust gas, and exhaust valve protection turned on in the tune. That might be part of why I've never had a cat related issue.

I figure if it works with a GT500 then why wouldn't it work with my setup provided I don't let the cats get hot and melt.

Others have had different experiences with forced induction and cats. YMMV.
