I installed BBR Stage 1 cams in my car a few weeks ago and currently have my car at the the tuners shop. after working on the car for a while my tuner has discovered that the car is running richer on one bank than the other, i spoke with him on the phone and if i recall correctly i think he said when he put the car in closed loop it ran terrible??? well he decided to do a compression test and the drivers side bank all tested about 10 psi less than the passenger side bank. is it possible i got the timing off on the crank pulley when i wedged the chain, causing all this? below is the video i went by to do my install.

When my cam was a tooth off, it would barely run. It was pretty obvious right from the start there was a problem.

The car is running somewhat okay I guess, he said in closed loop mode it was terrible though. it made 340 to the wheels the way it is but it's obvious one side is richer than the other per the wide band readings.

This is ironic, I heard from a buddy who just had a shop(Not BBR) put BBR cams in his car. He is having the same problems as you, his shop told him that 1 cam was ground wrong. I personally thought this sounded strange and suspected a wrong install or wrong diagnoses but now you are saying the exact same thing.

Sounds like quality control is slipping.

just spoke to buddy and its his drivers side that runs lean

My tuner is also thinking it could be a faulty cam, he's going to check over my install and see if things are right, I'm pretty confident in my installation work though. As far as specs go he has the cam cards for the cams but that's it, I don't reckon there is anything else to know is there?

I don't have any of mine, it wouldn't even run on the bbr tune hardly, I had to haul it to my tuner to get it lined out.... So much for that though lol.

There is advance built into bbr stage 1's that isn't listed on the cam card.

For awhile bbr was using stock cams that were regrinds. The stock cams have 7 degrees of advance built in. Is that what the bbr cams have?

Wellit appears that comp has incorrectly ground my cams, one has more lift an duration than the other. I'm confident bbr will make it right though, they've always treated me right.

Are you saying bbr has comp grind their cams?

Hello everyone,

Yes, Comp does cut our Billet Cams. The situation has been addressed. I have spoke with Comp and they are requesting the Serial #s at the end of each cam box. (This is for our Stage 1 cams only)

Please get us this information as soon as you can so we can find a resolution. Please feel free to email me the information.

Thank you
