So you can't use the cs fogs with the stage 2 intercooler? That sucks :(
Im 100% positive you can. Ill post some pictures up of another members car with stage 2 and fogs. Its just alot of tweaking to get it to fit

Not to fly too far off-topic here ... but how exactly do you mount that thing? The description of the ebay item says it has an adhesive back, is there a flat surface at that point of the Saleen grille?

Feel free to PM me if we're getting too far OT here.

EDIT - I answered my own question. The Saleen grille pictured here clearly shows a large flat area.

sorry I dont have a better picture but the stage 2 intercooler does fit the cs valance with fogs after a LOT of "trimming". You do have to cut into both fog light housings and remove most of the inner layer of the valance. I will try to get some better pics once I get a chance.

I like the cleanliness of the saleen grill, I myself like the factory grill with fogs,I don't like the fact the you can easily see the intercooler mounting brackets straight through the grill.

8Wood, I have this same setup and have been doing track-days at places like VIR and Summit Point. I speed read the posts to date so I apologize if this was already brought up. A couple of things to be careful of:

1) Double check to make sure the rubber spacer that surrounds the fan shroud (the piece of rubber that supposed to press against the radiator) is secure. The top of my shroud had a small gap, about 1/4" and the rubber came off the shroud and was sucked into the fan. This happened while on the track at VIR on a hot day. As soon as I pulled into the pits the car overheated. The fan fuse blew, saving the fan, but it was a bitch to get 2 feet of rubber space pulled out of the fan.

2) If you do run the car on a road race course, get a catchcan for the breather. At high boost Procharger intake will suck on the crankcase breather [insert inexpensive prostitute metaphor here]. After three track sessions at Summit Point, enough oil came out the breather, collected in the intercooler and started getting sucked into the engine making big smoke. I got black flagged and spent the following weekend disassembling and cleaning all the intake pipes.

3) Beware your cats!!. Mine half melted and could have blown the engine. I was running hard on the racetrack, so this probably isn't a problem on the street.

Thanks for the information.

I've actually been checking my intake and pulled pulled my IC pipes off the IC and checked it for oil. None so far. I've been worried about the cats melting, but I'm running fairly rich AFR 11.0-11.3 is where I usually am. Also, I guess there's a feature in the ECU that dumps a lot of fuel into the engine after you let off the throttle which helps to keep them cool; however, some people turn this feature off. I'll have to pull the cats and check them.

I haven't tracked the car yet but I plan to.

Finally, got my CS valence installed. It looks great. If you are going with the stage II kit, or any intercooler, I'd defiantly go this route because you don't have to cut as much of the black valence piece as the stock GT one. Plus it looks 100 times better, and is 100 times stiffer than the stock GT valence.
