Looking good, Cam. On my gt500 fan, one of those flap doors broke off before I got the thing installed. The plastic pin got bent/cracked during assembly and it fell off working the fan into place.

Any chance you can shoot me some more info on the radiator? I think mine may have a very tiny pinhole leak starting. I smell coolant when I open the hood after shutting the car down and I'm seeing tiny stains on the fan and shroud. Is the GT500 radiator a direct swap in the S197?

I can answer that. It's not a direct swap. It will physically fit and mount the same, but the lower hose connection on the drivers side is a different size from GT to GT500.

Thanks Sam. And I assume finding the correct hose to fit from the GT500 radiator to a 3v 4.6 would be rather complicated. Looks like you're doing a great job of selling Cam's old radiator.

What Sam said. It was basically why I had to buy a Gt500 one, or I would have just kept the stock Gt one (if it was sufficient).

Any buildup at all in the old one? Have you ever flushed it or did it still have the original coolant in it? I'll assume you took reasonably good care of the car. Shoot me your paypal info again.

Was a delay on shipping the C&R HE. Should be on its way today or tomorrow.

Valve covers will be done either tomorrow or by Monday.

Still waiting on a brake booster hose. It is on backorder and is estimated to ship on February 21st.

Ordered the remainder of the hoses for the car.... this is why if you do this project you NEED to get everything together... just a lesson of live n' learn

List prices for all of the HE hoses and the Radiator -> Thermostat Housing.

Had some free time today to organize my take off parts, list them up and some tidying up. Also, one of our techs surprised me and aligned my clutch yesterday since he brought the tool in and I was at another store.

I also got in my battery/power harness for the engine, surprisingly less expensive than some of those coolant hoses I ordered.

It will be installed after the valve covers are reinstalled.

Also swapped out the stock 2007 GT500 slave master (pictured left) for the later model one. Major difference in height.

Should have the transmission bolted up tomorrow.

So how is the shorter throwout going to work? Seems to me if you use a throwout that's 1" shorter then you will be 1" short of being able to disengage your clutch.

I'm not 100% positive but I believe because the later model GT500's have a twin disc clutch, it is larger, and doesn't need such a long ToB/slave cylinder.

2010 they changed the clutch and the TOB got shorter, long as your using a OEM 2010+ clutch that TOB will be fine. if your using any other clutch from before 2010 or a aftermarket clutch like a mcleod you will need a pre 2010 TOB.

Does this look like a FRPP stainless clutch line? It does not look like the one online and I can't for the life of me figure out how this is routed

^ That looks similar but different from mine, Cam. On mine the solid end is about 8" before the first bend where it comes in front of the brake booster. The flexible end goes to the transmission bell housing. The only way that one would work is if it went under the booster.

I can't answer that. It looks like the issue over on SVTP never got resolved. Or at least, was never posted up as resolved.

Alright. Well I got it to fit. When I sat and stared at it and saw what Brian said... I realized how the line makes a semi curl like it would wrap around the brake master cylinder. After some luck, I got it to fit. Not 100% happy as it is very close to the steering shaft and is against one of the A/C lines. I'll take a closer look next week.
