If I cut out the crossmember (leaving the outer 6 inches on each side for the rad mounts), are the front frame rails along with the bumper support across the front strong enough to hold the unibody/rails in place? Sure would make my lower rad hose routing work out better if I could do that.

I do not have a definite answer about the structural support or integrity of the rails, but what about doing a custom style hose with some elbows? I can really see the hose connections too well in the pic.

also what about a BMR raditator support brace? they seem pretty low profile, but I know they aint cheap

I have to ask… what are you trying to accomplish?

Where you see that rad hose coming down in the distance, it’s extremely tight between my up pipe and the dampener, and the crossmember forces the hose back at enough of angle I’m afraid it’ll collapse. (It IS a custom hose). I really need to go straight down where the crossmember is and then jet straight over to the driver side and into the lower rad fitting.

Maybe installing one of the aftermarket support braces like BMR or Kenny Brown.

I have KB on my 05' GT
