AFR has stepped up to the plate to make a diffuser kit for the S197 factory rear gt bumper.

Ignore the rice wing but heres the pics

They come in fiber glass $520 or carbon fiber $735

Just keeping everyone updated :p not sure if this has been posted before

I run their front wind splitter and radiator cover, but I must admit, that rear diffuser is ugly as sin. They need to hurry up and come out with some factory looking carbon fiber side skirts IMO.

I don't mind the way it looks but when you look close at the pic of it on the car it looks like it hangs way to low and doesn't bolt up to anything ?

Sorry, major rice... A diffuser is a valuable track-tuning tool, but only when actually used as part of a complete underbody package to create downforce. That thing, tacked on with a couple of bolts and probably a zip tie to the panhard bar, is just a tack-on cosmetic piece, and not a good looking one either.

You say these guys have stepped up to the plate to offer this piece and I am insulted by what they are offering. That diffuser looks like a universal fit piece to me. Looks held on with pop rivets and obviously does not fit the contours of the rear valence. Stick with the GT/CS rear piece if you want that look.

I'd consider it IF it was functional and the fit was better, AND I was going all-out with my car..as in Mustang Challenge all-out, where I'd have the big wing and front splitter to distract the eyes anyway..
