Sweet to see a newer 3.7 being tracked. How is it compared to the 4.6 or 5.0 on a open track?

I'm going to create a post for the project, but against the 5.0L the couple times we have been on the track together, in 2011 they were in T2 so we didn't run together, they dominated me off the corners and in a straight line. For 2012 the 5.0L has had a extra 150lbs of lead added and the intake restrictor reduced from a 65% to 50% to slow them down.

RIP - You will be missed
ESP Norm! Bring that thing out! lol
Yep, that's where it's belonged for a year or so now. Shown here at NJMP for the only event I made it to last season (non-SCCA).

Most anything more that I do chassis-wise to suit what I want in my non-competition driving will end up shipping it off to CP.

I know it is a drive for you but you got to try to make it to an event at Giants Stadium. The lot is very worth it!

Well, since she’s a perpetual work-in-progress, here’s a snapshot of the current performance goodies.

- Jacking rails (fabricated to receive side skirts down the road)

Brakes:

- Carbotech XP-12 pads (front), XP-10 pads (rear)
- Carbotech Bobcat pads (fr/rr for street)
- Ti Speed titanium heat shields (front)

- Motul RBF600 fluid

Wheels/Tires:

Next Up (this year):
- T56 transmission (Viper spec)

- Tow hooks (front/rear)
- Fabricated rear spring mount for 2.5” o.d. springs
- Repairs…"oh, `tis better to have had traction and lost it than to never have had traction at all"

And let that be a cautionary tale to those of you starting out on tracking your car! The needle sinks deep kids, just look at Uncle John, and Uncle Dave, and Uncle nuke, and Uncle pcdrj, and…ah hell, we’re all down with the sickness.

Best,
-j

Ran my BOSS stock (with the exception of a strano adjustable rear bar and some camber plates) for just about a year now, going to put on the following suspension parts in the next couple weeks:

  1. Roush Trak Pak suspension kit
  2. FRPP Poly RLCAs
  3. FRPP RLCA relo brackets
  4. J&M Adj. PHB
  5. MM Bumpsteer Kit
  6. Strano/UMI Adj swaybar endlinks
Very fond of the PF01/PF97 combo for brakes using the stock calipers and heavy one-piece rotors. Will likely go to Girodisc 2-pc rotors in the future. Brake ducting already installed.

-Saleen front sway bar
-Saleen front big brakes
-Motul RBF600 fluid
-FR adjustable panhard bar
-Forgestar CF10 wheels
-Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires

In the works: custom front brake ducts and rear 14" upgraded rotors, front splitter and rear diffuser.
