You should get it up on a dyno and do some dataloging just to be sure everything is good. Sounds nice though!

No dyno needed my friend. I can feel it honestly! but yes I'm sure everyone will want to see if there is a difference hp wise..I can already tell you boost wise that the car holds boost much better

And as far as doing it goes it's a simple mod! I have a video I didn't post that pretty much walks through it

Very interesting! If I only had the balls to attempt this!! I do love the new sound though!!

Can't tell you how much it means to be appreciated! Haha I had girlfriend aggro several times during this build and she wasn't happy.

So you want to take the loudest blower out there and make it louder? LOL At full throttle it kinda sounds the same to me. LOL But when you were getting on the freeway you could definatly hear it more. Where those slots put there to reduce blower noise? Thats it?

He would have done this run dumped at the headers, but then you might not hear the blower whine as pronounced. :evillaugh:

This is only too true,
For those that were interested though I have a dyno appointment this Friday. I'll post my before and after once I get it, just to see if anything changed at all from this.

Not to rain on the parade too much or be a hater lol, but here is some info behind the engineering of those slots.

"Referring to the compressor casing, a re-circulation slot can be designed into the casing located on either side just inboard of the inducer inlet. This feature can produce a lower surge line and broaden the flow range of the compressor at high pressure ratio. The re-circulation slot is an outgrowth of work done at NASA, where the flow range of axial flow compressors was enhanced. The re-circulation slot has been a useful addition to small compressor design technology."

So I wouldnt expect any gains just the sound, and if your pushing the blower to its max with a higher pressure ratio you will loose some flow up top closing the slots and probably generate a little more heat. Shouldn't hurt anything though.

First and formost this has nothing to do with an M90 as it is not a compressor, it simply moves air from point A to point B. However you are pretty much correct it most likely made more sound and zero power. In my experience with an M90 I was able to find the largest power increases by porting the inlet side of the blower which obiviously allows it to move more air.

As stated above the m90 isn't a compressor, but yes you could consider these "recirculation ports" but in all honesty the air that passes through them goes to the top of the supercharger roof, which the rotors have to grab again, so essentially your still seeing a loss in boost pressure. The IATS have not changed in daily driving however I'm sure without that bypass and a few runs down the track it could potentially show differences. I am not expecting and gains at all BUT some people want to see what it does on the dyno whether it be hp / tq boost levels IAT's etc.

So is it only louder at part throttle/idle? Or is it louder at WOT too?

I posted videos, but it is much louder at part throttle that much I can promise you. At WOT I feel like it has a higher whine. But it could just be my imagination...then again more heads turn when I get on it. So I'm assuming louder at WOT, but partial or even idling I can hear that thing purr to me.
