^^ Man Up! Just do it!
You should get it up on a dyno and do some dataloging just to be sure everything is good. Sounds nice though!
Very interesting! If I only had the balls to attempt this!! I do love the new sound though!!

Was the camera strapped to your head or something?
Misspelling brought to you by Tapatalk
So you want to take the loudest blower out there and make it louder? LOL At full throttle it kinda sounds the same to me. LOL But when you were getting on the freeway you could definatly hear it more. Where those slots put there to reduce blower noise? Thats it?

He would have done this run dumped at the headers, but then you might not hear the blower whine as pronounced.![]()
This is only too true,
For those that were interested though I have a dyno appointment this Friday. I'll post my before and after once I get it, just to see if anything changed at all from this.
Not to rain on the parade too much or be a hater lol, but here is some info behind the engineering of those slots.
"Referring to the compressor casing, a re-circulation slot can be designed into the casing located on either side just inboard of the inducer inlet. This feature can produce a lower surge line and broaden the flow range of the compressor at high pressure ratio. The re-circulation slot is an outgrowth of work done at NASA, where the flow range of axial flow compressors was enhanced. The re-circulation slot has been a useful addition to small compressor design technology."
So I wouldnt expect any gains just the sound, and if your pushing the blower to its max with a higher pressure ratio you will loose some flow up top closing the slots and probably generate a little more heat. Shouldn't hurt anything though.

So is it only louder at part throttle/idle? Or is it louder at WOT too?
The M90 is a compressor.
