The turbos are at the back of the car which leaves them very vulnerable.

+1, to the elements, bottom out your car, and people seeing them and wanting to steal them. Also the turbo has to push air through a lot more piping so you wont get the perks of a turbo system with minimal intake piping. A positive is less engine bay heat, colder turbos since they are more open to moving air, use of long tubes and midpipe. Also the oil system you have for your turbos will also not be as close as you want it to be to supply the turbos. Ive heard a lot of people say stay away from it because there are better options out there. Some of my friends who went to school to be an auto mechanic were shown on a dyno that the STS doesnt perform as well as the company says it does. But hey its your call and your money.

Dude I fuckin cracked up when you said I want ppl to know they need not fuck with me in my car hahaahha that was funny. My saleen whines a little bit but my exhaust is so loud i cant hear it inside unless im in like 4th going about 30 or just a higher gear in low RPMs. Also if i race someone they cant hear shit but exhaust blowing their eardrums apart.

I am going to up the boost from whatever my 3.4 pulley made (like 9psi, no boost guage lol) to about 15 or something ridiculous so I imagine I will hear it like a mother fucker! Also I MIGHT put my stock mufflers back on with my xpipe, I love the sound of my current setup but it is SOOOO loud! I love the sound of the stock mufflers with the off road x but i dont like the idea they are heavier and also dont let as much heat escape the engine but we'll see!

Found a good video of a roush tvs. Guys say the TVS is quiet but I don't think there running more than 11 or 12 pounds. Here's a vid of a p51 in the cabin. Sounds like he has an exhaust and you can clearly hear the whine. I would imagine 18-20 pounds would make these scream like an m90. This guys probably running 14-15lbs or so http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UB8oH54oUvY

The positive displacement blowers are typically very quiet at idle or just cruising as they are working in bypass mode. Now when you put them under load they start to WHINE. The more boost you run and the bigger the huffer the louder the WHINE. I had a Saleen blower on my 99GT running 8lbs of boost and it sounded like a cat with its tail caught in a door it screamed so loud. I also had a self fabricated cold air kit that had huge pipe to the mass air and then to the TB. I think the size of the induction has something to do with how loud it is also. My 2 Cents.

Stay away from the STS system. I had their twins on my C5 and the oil return pumps failed 3 times. A friend of mine had the STS twins on his Mustang. It did not make very much power and his pumps failed 4 times.

Nasty... I really dig your gauge/shift light setup. Is it custom? or is it something like an SOS?

Were you running the power you're running now with the 128 trap speed against that z06??

No. I was on my 91 octane tune and I started in the wrong gear on that run. We went again and he pulled about a car from 40-120ish. We have agreed to a rematch and I will have the correct fuel to run my race tune.

I personally have not heard anything louder than a Ported M112+ Eaton Blower.

Eaton's are probably the loudest blower out there, and the reason being is due to the inefficiency of the blower.

I have not heard a lot of blower whine from S197's even with really small pulley's on them.

I have some old dyno vids of my 03 Cobra on the Dyno. Makes 11 PSI and is louder than most other Pullied Eaton's/TS blowers I've heard.

Saleen S/C's FTW!
