I went to update firmware before downloading new tune. The instructions say return vehicle to stock before downloading firmware. This is where the problem lies. The stock tune download is stuck at 4%.The device says not to unplug. So what do I do.

This happened with my XCAL3 when I was trying to update the firmware on it while plugged into my computer. It got stuck after a while, so I got frustrated and just unplugged the damn thing.

My programmer got all messed up and had to have SCT go in through my computer and fix it. However, I have the backup file now so I can try and send it to your email if you do decide to pull out and it messes up your XCAL.

absolute worst case scenario you have to have it re-flashed by a dealer and you have to send your SCT out to be re-programed. Is it still stuck at 4? you may not have any other choice.

I have no idea if it will mess up your car or not. But, it's not like you can drive it until your programmer is finished either...

If it's just not moving at all, I don't know what other options you have but to unplug it, update the programmer, and then retune your car.

Alright so i unplugged it.Then replugged it in.I start to try to return to stock again and it goes 1,2,3 then freezes at 4% again. This sucks.I installed a set of bbr stage 1 cams and i can't drive the car cause cant get the bbr tune on the tuner.
