We are hoping for some mid 11's with just the motor. With it being so light we may get a surprise and run faster.

We are strapping it down on the dyno tomorrow afternoon. I should have some video of the pulls tomorrow.

Do not expect any realistic numbers though. I have a really loose converter and the car isn't built for the dyno.

I would not be surprised to see 200 rwhp. I lost over 100 rwhp when I put the automatic in the car. On the dyno that is, as I picked up over a second at the track.

Well we are off to a start on getting it tuned. We had some problems with the battery(2 1/2 years old) so we are going to change it tomorrow. Also looks like the alternator finally took a crap on it. We were only seeing about 11.7 volts on the 3 pulls we did. We shut it down early since we were getting no where with the electrical stuff going on.

It did make 350 rwhp and 310 rwtq at 6300 rpm. Also it was pulling some timing up top and we couldn't see where or why it was pulling it. We are thinking it may have something to do with the voltage.

Here is a dyno pull the was from 3500 rpm to 6300 rpm.

Yeah it is rolling again and that is what matters. We are no where near done with it yet. Going to put an new alternator, battery, and throw some timing at it. We were only pulling it to 6300 rpm and once we get the little stuff ironed out we are going to pull it to 7400 rpm.

Also not sure how long it will be N/A. I like having fast cars and I am not sure about it the way it sits.

Well we ran into a couple little snags. Apparently after almost 7 years of faithful service the alternator decided it was quitting. Also the battery I had that was new 2 years ago wasn't up to doing its job either. We did get to drive it a little and made a couple pulls on the dyno with it.

It made 350 rwhp and 310 rwtq at 6000 rpms where we stopped due to it pulling timing for some reason. We are still chasing that down but pretty sure it has something to do with the voltage being at 11.7 volts on the pull. We tried putting a battery charger on it to test and see but it still pulled timing out a 5000 rpms. The voltage was messing with it since we added 7% fuel to it and the A/F ratio never changed. Benjy is installing a new alternator and battery this week. I am back offshore so he will be running it at the track this coming weekend if it is ready.

Here is a video of the last pull that made the numbers above. Not bad for a 4R70W car with a 9". :beerdrink:

Well they got a lot accomplished today. Details below...

Car Weight with 13 gallons of gas and 215 driver = 3,265lbs
BJCarweight.jpg

They brought it to the track tonight and it wouldn't hook off the transbrake. I am running some 275/60/15 MT Drag Radials and they are not cutting it. We are about to start on the suspension settings before we put the turbo on. I have BMR everything but still have stock shocks with Steeda Ultralite springs.

Track Times:
60' = 1.8
1/4 = 12.0
MPH = 114

yeah...they might already be ordered...I told them to get what they need to make this thing hook off the line...I may step up to a slick for the track but that involves me buying another set of Bogart rears as I will need a drag radial for the street...Might just try a 325/50/15 and see how that works...

You could have smashed the 2.6H record if you would have gotten traction. Looks like you you still have the same problem. B will get you set up. Can't wait till you get some TTUUURRRRRRRBBBBOOOOOOOO action on that motor. It's gonna fly when you finally hook.

I know...I was not expecting it not to hook being our only challenge at the track with only making about 415hp on motor. I knew we were going to have problems when it was making almost 850hp but this is crazy. I think between Benjy and Wes we will get it straightened out. I have everything BMR offers in the back of the car suspension wise except springs and shocks. I was going to wait till Mad Man does the cage and put an inbound coil over kit but I will invest in it now. If we need to change it for any reason I will go with what Brian recommends when we get the cage installed.

After looking at the scales though we are to front heavy and that is causing the center of gravity to be to far front not allowing weight transfer. But we are really close 52/48 weight distribution. I should have went with the damn big bore aluminum block!!!
