For my two cents, If you are looking at long tubes on a coyote, you will need to drop the K-member, It's not terrible but it is more work than it looks. And for some of these headers, you are looking at a potential for 10 rhp increase which is the same as shorties. I know my kooks are real close to the K member on drivers side and I worried about false knock but everything is good. Some of these bargain basement headers require denting of tubes to clear steering shaft. And you also need to purchase based on your other mods. Don't buy 1&7/8 tubes for an NA application, it's not going to help you in the long run as there are trade offs to be made. There is a reason why Kooks/American Racing/ultimate are so expensive, they are properly tuned and don't have fitments issues. Every mod I've done has had unintended issues even buying name brand components. My green cats launch catalyst efficiency codes from time to time.
It's expensive to mod coyote, you want to go cheap, swap an LS in or be happy with what you got.

That's why I said I'm going to leave it as is and use the money towards something else.

LT install is a mother on these. I should have left mine alone. Not sure the hassle was worth it.

A little OT, but did anyone see the episode of “Engine Masters”? Where they tested the effect of bending and beating headers with a hammer to make them fit?
Bottom line results were that even badly misshapen headers had little to no effect on performance.

I don't have the money lol or a credit card I don't want to buy something I can't afford to pay cash for if need be and I definitely don't have anywhere near enough money to buy supercharger or turbos and the supporting mods need to install and use them.

Kooks is one the most expensive not saying they aren't good and or worth it but to me not worth the around $2k price tag to have long tubes I'll use that money towards something else.

I hear that. A 2014 Mustang is not bad place to be sitting even if it's bone stock. I have a completely modded out car with 5 figures spent, a 2008, and one of my favorite alternates would be a solid axle 5.0 like yours with just a Roush cat back, a tune with the rev limiter deleted (+150 hp,) and the transmission out of a GT350.

FYI The factory catted midpipe does wonders for exhaust tone and is not restrictive. The factory headers are also great.

I have Flowmaster outlaws they seemed loud when got it little over 4 years ago don't really hear them now. Guess I've gotten used to it but I rarely listen to music the exhaust sounds better than any music lol plus easier to hear when to shift gears as well but I know when to shift now with hearing the engine/exhaust now.
