Any of you that are interested in trying out one of the Steeda lightweight radiator supports...go for it!

I installed mine yesterday. The car was already on jack stands, but beyond that it only took a total of 45 minutes working by myself with hand tools to install. Fit was great and it is 9.5 lbs lighter than stock.

It also looks great, which is important if you flip over!!!

I used the UPR one and it fit good too. Altogether is about 25lbs less then it was before. Not really or at all for cornering though

The Steeda crossmember has the tabs for the swaybar mounts, and unless your name is Boris Said, they're plenty strong enough! They're the only one that I know of that have the mounting tabs.

Nice name drop from Steeda's history:clap:

It's mainly designed to shave some weight for people that want to keep the swaybar, or even more for those that want to lose it altogether.

Steve, as you know, I have one of those crossmembers... Fit and finish is excellent, install was a snap, and it certainly does shave weight from where a diet is needed!

My name is not Borris, but how much sustained abuse can this handle? On R-comps I know I am pulling over a G in the corners *I have to get a logger to see what the car is doing exactly*.

My experience with front sway has been...interesting ;).

The acutual mounting pads for the swaybar are pretty well triangulated, right up to the frame mounts. They're not just a flat tab welded onto the tube... Take a look at some pix, and I think you'll see what I'm talking about.

That's what I thought you were talking about. I wasn't aware Steeda had one that allowed you to keep the sway bars that's awesome! I guess I'll have to add this to my list!

Thinkkker,
What's your receipe for pulling over a G?

I noticed you're from Katy, TX. You going to the St Arnold's cruise on the 27th?

Montreal Qc,
I had to modify the end of the "ears" which support the radiator so that they wouldn't touch the much thicker Afco 2 row radiator but other than that everything is perfect.
