skip the 07-09 Gt500. Drive the car till you pay it off. Trade/sell it plus put the 6k down and get in a 2011-2012 GT500.
Well, I've decided to push off the shelby for a couple more years, their price will come down and my money will come up ;p decided 500 a month just isnt worth it right now.
In the meantime I'm going to futz around with my 06 and enjoy the no-car-payment life in a year for awhile. Going to go with the department of boost setup, keep it pretty tame and probably slap on a ford racing suspension kit/call it a day.
Thanks for the good insight everyone.

I'd take the 07/09 GT500. They look better to me than the 11-12 cars.

I'd go for an 08-09 gt500, best body style.
I know it may be shocking to some of you but there are people that are in love with their old cars... so the "trade for a coyote" thing doesn't even cross their mind.
As it's not all about how fast the car is.
Me for example, I am keeping my car for the rest of my life.
IF I feel like I need to go faster I will just build the engine, pretty simple.
And if one day ford comes out with another mustang that I fall in love with I will just buy that one too lol.
I've said that for every one of the 10 I've owned....hasn't worked for me.
There are plenty of 07-09 with a couple miles for under $30k.
About a year ago I paid just under $35k for my 9,000 mile 2009 convertible that had about every available option on it and brand new Nitto's. Saw plenty of 15,000 mile 2007 coupes for around the 28k range.
How far out are you looking from your location? When I was shopping I was looking out 400 miles and got lucky and found my car only 20 minutes from my house.
I passed on doing a DOB because I heard they made terrible howling noises.
