Well I finally got everything to the machine shop and got in line there. Now for the worst part of any build, waiting! It takes a looong time to get your stuff through this shop since I'm just small potatoes there, the high priority customers run shit like this! LOL

There's a big Pro-Mod race in Bradenton this weekend they're getting this car ready to run in so my stuff is just in the way for now..

I found out at least one of my top rings was bad, it lost its tension where it no longer would spring out like it should, it just stayed more inside the ring land in the piston. This is caused from over heating, and is likely the reason that cylinder had 20% leak down. I also received my injectors back today with the flow, cleaning, and re-flow test results. Wilson Manifolds did the testing for me, and the comments were "Injectors flowed inconsistent in pretest. Improved after cleaning several times but still vary in in pulse test. Also injectors lock shut at 42-50 psi. Recommend replacement" WTF!!!

If nothing else boy am I glad I had them tested before reusing them!

Sounds like lean condition due to the injectors and cylinder temps went up and took out the rings.

What fuel are you on again?

Looks like I need ID 1300's for my combo, I ran the calculator then called ID this morning and they confirmed this, holy shit they're proud of those!

Yeah the id's are crazy. I got the id2000s. Probably should have went with the 1300's

At least you have some room to grow if you go up in hp later on, I'm trying to decide if I should go with the 1300's or pay a few more bucks and get the 1700's. I dont need the 1700's now but that would leave plenty of room to go up in hp later. I asked ID today about any disadvantage doing that and they said the idle would be rich on pump gas but as long as I stay on e85 it would be fine. Of course the 1700's are on back order now..

How much is going to be enough for you... jet power, rocket, top fuel??? LOL

I'm sure Lito could tune in those injectors without issue. I found one thing out about bigger injectors, adding or subtracting values even 5% on the maf transfer function with 100lb injectors tiss not the same as 60lb ones. Kept rolling a marble on a glass table till my tuner gave me a V8 moment and told me stop adding and subtracting values like I had 47lb injectors. 5% of 100 is a lot more than 5% of 47. Duh..

Drivability, starting and idling going from the FRPP 60lb to the ID1000 was night and day for the better, tuning was easier. IICR the ID 1300s are made for the E85 with SS internals. I don't think the ID1000s have that type of internal design, it's why I keep going down the Meth injection path otherwise I'd be doing the corn.

Hell yea! I can do some nitro LOL! ^^That makes all the sense in the world, the percentages have a multiplier effect on the larger injectors. LITO said he can work with either injectors, but I also talked to L&M again today and Michael talked me out of the 1700's. Said there may be some drive-ability issues with them, which would be okay for 100% track car that never sees the street but I do like to take my car out and cruise around once in awhile. He said the same thing as LITO the 1300's will leave me some cushion as it is but if I go up in power later on we can just increase the pressure to get more out of them. Both the 1300's and 1700's have all stainless internals and are compatible with all known fuels. A set of 1300's are on their way!

When I upped the power on my car (700ish to 875ish) I had to switch from ID1000's to ID1300's. If you're on E85, it just takes a lot of injector! I would have gone with ID2000's but I run 93 octane on occasion and was told those may have idle issues with 93 due to minimum pulsewidth requirements.

A few minor things I've been working on while my motor is at the machine shop. Here's a Billy 05Stroker special edition TB tube holder in place do-hicky

And removed the screwed in baffles I had in my valve covers in lieu of some aluminum ones tig welded in, much better peace of mind now lol.

Also, for anyone interested I went to that pro-mod race last weekend, holy shit that was insane! Here's the car they've been working on at my machine shop, left lane, 3.81 @ about 200 mph! - even with only 2 valves per cylinder hahaha

When I was at the track last month that pipe blew off during the last pass, Billy said after he did that to his it never blew off again so I decided to give it a shot.
