how many miles are on your turbo? I think it is pretty well documented that the oil less turbos need some break in before they start spooling up fast, and that is a little bigger ar than you would really need for your setup. I think the turbo breakin is probably the biggest suspect though(and I didnt even mention the 2.5" up-pipe, oh wait i just did!)

I don't think the up pipe is an issue at my power level. Turbo has about 5000 miles on it. I've also noticed that even on the street it doesn't reach full boost till 4k or a little higher. That seems slow for this turbo.

yeah, at your power the up-pipe shouldnt be an issue(just like bringing that up lol). That turbo should spool faster than that i think. My journal bearing/billet wheel precision sees full boost right at 3k rpm. you dont have any restrictions post turbo, or big exhaust leaks pre turbo? There has been more than one guy on here that has had to send their comp oil-less in for repair.

II don't think I have any exhaust leaks, I don't know what could be restricting it post turbo. It's basically straight exhaust with FRPP stingers.

If it wasn't going to reach full boost till 4k I wouldn't have spent the extra cash on the upgraded turbo.

what rear gear are you running? does the turbo wheel spin freely? does it continue to spin after you shut the car off or just come to a quick stop? Have you seen the videos that jeremy posted as his turbo broke in and spun more freely over time?

The .96 a/r would be my bet for your slow spool up, especially with the 2.5" up pipe. It would be like blowing up a balloon through a drinking straw.
My powerhouse kit feeds a .81 housing with a 3" up pipe.

My S&H kit hits full boost between 2800-3300. It is just the standard journal bearing comp with an .81 AR. 3" up pipe FTW! haha

I really think this turbo is messed up. Jeremy video showed his free spinning for about 20 sec after shut down. It's almost like its dragging.

Haven't been able too for the last month or two. I'm hoping comp will be able to handle it.
