JDM Engineering is proud to introduce a new line of fully assembled Ford Racing 3v Long blocks. These engines will be assembled by hand using Ford Racing aluminator short blocks and Ford Racing CNC ported cylinder heads. Three different stages of the long blocks are offered, each has a higher power rating than its predecessor. This is done by using 3 different sets of camshafts (Stock, Ford Racing Hot Rod, and Custom JDM spec Comp cams) each will bring your engine to next level of performance! Brand new factory Ford head gaskets, head bolts, timing components, and cam phasers are used to complete the engine build. Every engine is inspected, assembled, and timed to specification in house by Matt Kennedy of JDM Engineering racing engines. This new program using Ford Racing components follows the same guidelines of our already highly successful 298 Stroker program that has been running for nearly 4 years now. Team JDM stands behind each build and guarantees satisfaction with in every engine.
*Every engine comes fully assembled however several items may be required for installation such as a new oil pump pick up tube or covers like an oil pan, timing cover, or valve covers. Also an 8 bolt flywheel will be required while installing any of these engines.
Stage 1: Offers the ability to handle up to 700 engine HP at a minimum cost. The Long block is assembled using stock Ford camshafts and valve springs giving you factory idle quality and driveability. This engine is perfect when making under 600 rear wheel horsepower. While using stock camshafts you will not see much of a power change from a factory Ford engine. However with the forged aluminator rotating assembly you can add power at will via boost or other methods!

Stage 2: Comes ready to rumble with a set of Ford Racing Hot Rod cams used to raise the power level and RPM band. This engine is built to the same specifications as the stage 1 including factory ford valve springs. The hot rod camshafts are designed to be used with factory Ford valve springs and cams phasers. Lift is raised from stock by 1mm which promotes a higher RPM band and peak power gains. The duration is raised for a aggressive idle sound and mid range power improvements. The long block still maintains capability to handle over 700 HP but will achieve as much as 40-50 more horsepower from the factory Ford engine.

Stage 3: Same base build as the first two though a set of custom Comp camshafts, high performance valve springs, and steel retainers replace the factory components. Team JDM has worked closely with Comp cams to design a custom grind cam that will give your 3 valve engine maximum performance. These cams have over .530” of lift and a custom duration spec held proprietary to JDM. With the higher lift cams a set of Comp phaser limiters are required to ensure your engine does not have clearance issues in the event of a phaser failure. The limiters allow up to 20 degrees advance or retard which gives your tuner the ability to still work with VCT. Peak power gains over 70 rear wheel horsepower have been seen during testing on our in house dyno. The major difference between this engine and the stage 1 or 2 is the valve train upgrade. High pressure Comp valve springs and steel retainers are added to improve valve train stability. With higher seat pressure valve springs you have the ability to run more boost pressure as well as raise the engines peak RPM. This will result in more power and performance for your Mustang!
