With the weather finally cooperating, A bunch of Coyote owners ended up going to the SCR last night, and ran some great times.

Quick breakdown of the car. 12 Gt Auto Premium. Only spare removed for weight. 3860 With me in it.
2.3L whipple on a VMP torco (100 octane) email tune. No revisions.
2.875in pulley (73mm equiv).
2c Circle D.
Stock oil pump gear with an ATI Damper.
Race Stars, stock manfolds, etc.

Every other track outing I've left the a/c on and allowed the tune to disengage the clutch (I have a killer chiller). Mistake. 35hp midrange loss on the dyno. This time I shut it off at the first bulb.

First Pass, flashing the converter from idle.
60' 1.51
1/8 6.63 @104.7
1/4 10.29 @ 134.97

Second Pass, I leaned on the converter a bit, which I've never really tried with this pulley. It LEFT! Had a late 3/4 shift on the pass, I think it may have hurt the 1/4 a litle bit.

60' 1.45
1/8 6.49 @ 106.19
1/4 10.11 @ 136.01

Because I forgot my tuner, I parked the car. I feel like if I added a degree or two of timing the car would have went in the 9's. Doesn't seem like a huge stretch, they had two tvs 5.0's well in the 9's (and two 9 sec paxton cars) out there last night as well.

Not sure if I'll ever know on the stock motor, I don't intend on running it again until some major upgrades are completed. I'm happy with it either way.

Congrats on the passes and it feels good to go bottom 10s on the stock motor; I am in the same boat and not really wanting to track the car but one more time to get that 9.9 haha

Do you have a timeslip you can post?

Oh and 2.875 pulley is what, 16 psi?

Sure, I'll try and take a pic this afternoon when I get home. The pulley is a 73mm equiv., between 12 and 13lbs according to my gauge.

Very nice

Nice stock-motor pass!!

Very nice I like the title lol

Thanks! I have a few more parts incoming, I may make one last trip to the track before this engine comes out.

Wow I'm running a 3.5" and have 9-10 lbs boost (stock motor) with a Stainless works 1 3/4" full headers with full 3" exhaust.

What kind of HP are you making?

Those are outstanding passes, Congrats!!

Thanks, what is amazing to me was there were 4 5.0's out there running quicker/faster than mine. So 4 running 9's, and me knocking on the door. They seem to come from the Ford dealership supercharged in this area, or something, haha.

The car dyno'd 607hp and 477? tq in 3rd gear (Dynojet, SAE) the same day as these passes. I went directly from the dyno to the track.

That sounds right, when i had 604 rwhp with my 2.3 whipple the best pass i had was a 10.13 @ 134. I was at 16 psi however

@ 16lbs I think I would be right around that HP level as well.

ebrow21, Those are great numbers, but I think your gauge is reading low… :)
You are braver then I though, I actually stepped down in boost because I just can't afford to have bad things happen, also went with a little richer tune.

And there is the difference.

I am just saying the power level seem accurate. And I would imagine the 4V would take less boost to achieve the same results when compared to the 3V, for sure.

We're on the same page, just wanted to make sure fordracing didn't misunderstand what year/driveline vehicle I own.
