Well.. I wanted to hold off on further comments till I got more info and It looks like MMR (Modular Mustang Racing) can be added in the long line of people screwing me over. Basically, the NEW short block I bought from MMR AND PAID EXTRA for the Aluminum block was magically over bored .030 (30 thousands). and the mahle pistons were the same. My current tuner told me the only reason he could see them doing this is 1) its a used block 2) they had a stock pile of the over sized pistons. Either way going over any more is not recommended thus a need for a new block. over a week ago I called MMR and asked Chris (Manager) why would a new block be bored out like that. He was blabbering about needing an invoice number and also to see who built it?!?! I e-mailed him the same day with the invoice # and waited for days for an answer. I called him a few days later and got the old " This was on an old system and we need to find it". The engine is a year and a half old, but I accepted it.. and waited.. I called Friday and basically got the same answer.. " we're still looking. Monday no call.. Today I get hit up with the current tuner needing a solution quickly since I'm taking up one of his lifts. I call MMR again and ask for Mark (owner) and again Chris answers and this time when I ask him about it it was like he pulled a stoy out of thin air!

Chris= " ohhh we didnt see anything special on your invoice. " We GAVE you a new block but many blocks from Ford sat long and got rust so we bored it out.

Me= So you bored all new block with 30 thousandth off?

Chris= yes

Chris= We have found out that the engines run fine with 50 thousands off and you should do that.

Me= Ok, I just wanted to see if you guys would own up to your mistake and I can see thats not happening.. bye.

Soo.. what do you guys think? Does it really get better then this =-/

That sucks, and I've heard about MMR before which is why I didn't use them. I hope this time it goes better for you.

Thinking about it, I would have looked around for a good used 05 block as I am sure that they can be had for much less $$ then Ford is going to charge.
