I know the ghost engine bay pic isn't the greatest but It's the first I've done, so I definitely learned for next time.
Yeah, this page inspires me to take a sticky nap.Protip: Use a softer brush ( shift + [ ) on your mask to make it look more organic. Alternatively, make a general selection of the area you want ghosted with your choice of lasso tools, then mask it. Then select the mask in the layer and in the properties panel you can adjust the opacity and the softness. Or just right click the mask, select Refine Mask, and make your adjustments there.
Now that I've typed all that I'm going to change my pants and grab some tissues.
