LOL - yeah - this is the second set of hood struts I put in and the damn Cervini hood is STILL to heavy for them. I'm ging to try some beefier cobra ones next week and if that fails - I'm ditching the hood struts. I had planned on getting a removable fiberglass cowl hood next year anyway.

We are going to try to make Irwindale this Thursday barring the weather. I've got one last issue to sort out and that is my a/f is greatly different from the left bank to the right. We think the injectors may have gotten plugged over the last 7 months of sitting so we are having them cleaned. If it's not that, then it's a problem with the BS3 main unit and BS3 will swap it for a new one if that's the case so we will get it sorted in the next couple days.

Ran a compression check bank to bank and it is a beautiful 210 on the money all the way around. This thing wants to eat and wants to eat bad. The vid is from a cell phone - in person the car sounds MEAN...

Get the a/f sorted and then I'll let it eat.

What about the stock hood prop? It's a solid metal rod so your hood would have to be like 500 lbs to break it, lol!

If you're worried how it looks, just paint it blue w/ some checkered flags on it. That would look sweet.

That's kinda fugged up about your hood struts. How much does the hood weigh? I never have any problems with mine unless it is cold outside. Then I have to break out the vice grip mod.

My cervinis hood is heavy as all heck as well. I seriously doubt hood struts would hold mine up. Congrats on getting it fired up once more....can't wait to see some "killer" times.

Are you using the Cervinis hood struts? They are heavy duty to handle the weight of the Cervinis hoods. I've never had a problem.

First of all - I appreciate your help and thanks for taking the time out to work with me. Also a shout out to Mr. Vinny Barber who was a tremendous help and offered late night phone calls and tons of help helping me solve this major issue. Thank you Vinny.

Second - they were right... Turns out the modular COP's wreck havoc with the BS3 sensor wires. The final solution was wrapping the crank and cam sensors in microphone wire, sealing them off, and then running them down opposite sides of the block. Once they were free of the COP's interference, uegor was a-okay.

The last problem is the a/f being hugely off from one bank to the other and the only thing holding it up from the dyno. Pretty sure it's clogged injectors and should have it straightened out tomorrow. It's not the sensors, so the injectors I think are the source - especially since they have been sitting for 7 months. Can't go on the dyno till I get it straightened out cause it's not a 'little' difference. I'm seeing 12.5 on one side and 16.5 on the other. Going to throw some new injectors in there tomorrow and hope to get her ready. We are shooting for Irwindale this Thursday barring the weather.

BTW: I don't know about 10:1 compression though - compression test showed 208-210 across the board. That definitely surprised me... I never saw higher than 180 on any of Adam's motors at 9:1
