The slowest spooling twin turbo stang ever

Is that an STS car? The spool and that graph are exactly like the twin STS cars. The peak numbers seem good, but it's just not usable in any racing sense.

My TT '03 Cobra had twin 67mm's on it when I first got it done, and it didn't even spool that slow.

Its a custom front mount setup, he has .96 ar's and huge pyping before and after the turbos, so next to no pressure to get the turbines going.

And it looks like he merges the headers then splits them again before going to each turbo. But not sure on that.

Its a custom kit.

Im not sure on his reasoning he said he has his setup for 1:1 back pressure. Why he has it like this on a 281 stock 2v motor is beyond me.

I told him he should at least go with smaller ar housings and at his boost/power level he wont loose any peak power and pick up some spool/power band. But he seems to think he knows whats going on. He's adding an eldebrock intake manifold. Its a thread on a different forum about it and everyone jumped my shit because i own a 3v and said i was just bashing his kit.

I'd bash his shit all day all he did is make a shitty street car with all it's power in a useless place, I guess he can brag he does have twin turbo's though lol but if he did all the custom work that is pretty cool.

I would never floor a boosted car at that low of rpm's, thats what killed it. I would have dropped in at 3000 rpms at the start of the pull. Low rpm's like that is hard on the turbo's and a strain on the motor. I think the guy needs to learn how to dyno a car properly especially a boosted car lol.

My buddy's 2v's turbo flutters like a mofo if floored anything under 2500. I personally wouldn't floor a car a that low of rpm. Even on n/a set up...why would you need to??? Taking off from a stop is one thing but once out of first gear I don't see the point. I would think at that low rpm it would just load the motor up with fuel and be rich as hell.

I've had 3 turbo Mustangs and have never had an issue. With a good tune you could floor it anywhere you wanted and it'll be perfectly fine. If it's rich as hell and loads up, your tuner doesn't know what he's doing.

As for fluttering under 2500, it could have been a turbo sizing issue, or tune, or valving, or something else. My TT car would reach full boost at about the same RPM no matter whether I stepped on it at 1500 or 3000 rpm. My current Procharged car makes about 3 lbs at 2k wide open and no problems at all. It actually makes a fair amount of torque that low.

Now, whether there's a "need" to floor it that low in the RPM is a different story. Most likely there's not a need.

I've floored my car before 2000rpm in every gear. I must be getting tired but I don't see your reason. Hey got to get over real quick and go by this car on the interstate, bammm, floor in 5th for a hot second.

Looks like someone didnt save his pennies, those ace hardware work gloves say it all haha..... And that motor isnt gonna last long with that high of a a/f, going to make some of those see through pistons....
