Took out 4th gear on the dyno.

As JDM was trying to dynotune my car I guess they took out 4th on the dyno. So now it looks like I'm going to have to make two trips, one to get the car to tear the trans out, another to take it back for a dynotune. I'm getting tired of this shit already.

What exactly is meant by 4th gear got "took out". Did the Syncro's give up the ghost and it grinds going into 4th or did the trans lock up or something else? I hope its not too serious and you get back up and running soon.

Jim said he got it to go into 4th but it kicked itself out and wouldn't shift back in. It's an auto super street fighter 5r55. It was installed may of 09 so I doubt tci will do anything about it.

Altgough brenspeed told me they would get tci to warranty it because tci knows they have been having a lot of trouble with 3rd and 4th. I almost forgot about that. Time to call brenspeed I guess.

Whatever he had in it to pull it into the dyno bay. It had been acting funny for a while with a brenspeed tune.

cool, tx. havent researched trannys too much just yet.. I wonder if the 11+ manual will ebcome a viable upgrade option in the future as the tr6060, but maybe cheaper ...
