Im sure this is a ridiculous question, but being that the 05-09s are not bluetooth equipped, what is needed to make this work?
It doesn't have anything to do with blue tooth in the car. The obd2 adaptor plugs into the obd2 port on the car, and it connects to your Android smart phone via the blue tooth protocol. Blue tooth is not limited to just wireless phone calls.

Does anyone have a good list of pid's for our cars?

It's been a while since I've used it but I remember there was a LOT of missing pid's. Especially compared to what like a sct can view.

Torque pro was actually the first app I ever bought.

You can create custom PID's with the iPhone app.

Right, but you have to have the codes to be able to calculate them.

There's a generic "ford pid" list you can load but it seems to be missing a lot. I spent some time on their website and wasn't able to find a good list of custom ford pids.

I just bought a generic elm327 or whatever it was off eBay for $20. Has worked perfect on everything I've tried so far, mostly domestic and a couple Toyotas though.

iPhone users with the Engine Link app- is it any good? Is there another app for iPhone? I'm thinking about getting it. Does anybody know if it reads boost?

There is another app but it's $50. If the Engine Link app is junk I'll try that one.

I have the app but I'm waiting for the ELM327 to arrive.

What is the name of the $50 app? What's wrong with it?

DashCommand, and I have no clue how good or bad it is. I figured I'd try the $5 one first and if it sucks I'll spend the $50 on DashCommand.

There are other apps but I haven't checked them out. Search OBD II in the app store to see what's available.

I can't get it to show fuel pressure, haven't tried oil pressure. The PID's that are selectable aren't what I was hoping for. I do like that I can see IAT and Engine Coolant Temp but it's displayed in Celcius, which sucks. I have it set up to display Timing Advance, too but I have no clue what I'm looking at, LOL.

There are shit ton of PID's listed but only certain ones are available for display for the 3V. If I get time, I'll list them.

I had some issues getting it to connect initially but got it working. The adapter is kind of long and I have to watch I don't bump it with my leg.

So far, not worth $25 for the adapter and $5 for the app.

The app is great. Just make sure to set up the profile for your car, and any adjustements you need for the app.

Mine is great, I love it.

Are you using the android app or the iphone one? I have the iphone one (Engine Link) and there is nothing shown or mentioned about a profile.

Which is why I asked if anyone had a good list of custom PIDs for our cars.
They exist, I've found a few on their forum, but I could never find a good list.. People that have them seem to want to keep them to themselves instead of sharing or even selling. Or like one particular guy, talk A LOT, and never deliver then disappear .
As for Celsius, you need to go into the options s off the main screen (android), and you can select what units you want everything displayed in. You may have to remove the gauge/meter and reset it with whatever version you pick, they don't always change automagically.

Also, don't forget to go to settings then manage extra pids/settings and set the custom ford pid list, there is a lot more in there than generic.

on the 11+ models, can anyone verify if a/f is available? and is it a voltage reading or an actual a/f reading?
