Think of it as an adapter, not a spacer. The pinion cup has 6 bolt holes and the axle u joint carrier has 4 holes. You need the adapter to go from 4 holes to 6 holes.

I forgot to report back what Shaftmasters said. Definitely going to order one this month...if Liberty finishes my XL soon.

Mark,
Shaft comes with 1350 series ujoints both front and back.
Slip yoke is forged.
They are $524.99 with Free UPS Ground to the continental U.S.

Thanks,
David

This thing sifts like butter! I never realized how bad the stock trans was! And the RST pedal is so light I almost put my foot thru the floorboard. This is the only way to go for high HP applications!

Dont forget its 26 spline...not 10 ;)

As for the RST, Im running a Spec aluminum with mine. No issues yet. Guess I will find out soon enough when I install this XL if there is any wear issues.

you will most likely have a lip on the friction material

when you use a mcleod clutch with a spec flywheel about 10% of the disc is not hitting the steel insert. it makes it wear funny and not hold as much power

Ahhhh, ok. I will check that out. Good thing Im switching over to a McLeod lightened steel during the conversion. I really care for the aluminum.

Thanks for info Eric :D

No need to swap out the shifter on the T56. I've had mine almost a year and it shifts great, much better than the 3650 with the MGW shifter.

Get a 99 - 04 flywheel and it will have full coverage on the 05+ rst. Its other brand 05+ flywheels that will have this problem.

I am looking at getting one of these - what is the preferred gear ratio? I see it offered with a (2.66, 1.78, 1.30, 1.0, .74, .5) and (2.97, 2.07, 1.43, 1.00, .8, .63). Is one more for drag racing than the other?

IMO first gear is the only one that really matters. Even with 600+hp I never use 6th gear, ever. I would recommend the 2.97 first gear for virtually all circumstances. Even 2.97 is too tall when trying to get a good launch at the track. The 3650 has a 3.38 first which is much easier to launch. The 2.66 ratio is almost tall enough to be second gear. Who needs to go 45-50mph in first?

I do!!!! With my previous 3.55 gear, awe man this ratio was stupid tall!!!!
6th gear shift had to be done at 75 MPH and I was in the low 1,400 RPM. LOL

Since then I have gone with 4.10s...much better, although I wish it was a little taller in 5th and 6th.

So with that, I would suggest the 2.97 like Skwerl recommended.

2.97 is stock...while the 2.66 is really tall meant for road racing.
