So i thought i would share a new project we are working on



This is a 2014 GT M6 car

This customer came to us from about an hour west of St Louis.

Dropped off last friday night. We have been going back and forth for about a month now on getting a solid parts list and a Plan together.

So far on the ever changing list we have

Built Short Block (Diamond Pistons, Billet I beams, Darton Custom Sleeves)
JPC Turbo kit with Air to water Upgrade
80/83 Turbo with Billet wheel
4R70 Swap
Up Graded Fuel System
ID1300 Injectors
Suspension Including TRZ anti Roll bar and BMR K member among other options.

Basically we are looking for a bad ass street car here so we are keeping
Stock Brembo Brakes
AC
the whole 9

Dont plan on making this a total race car.

Any way she is under the knife now

Can you elaborate a bit on the 4r70 swap..

This car being new could have been bought with a 6r80 so why the move the 4r70.

We always see people looking to swap from a mt82 to 6r80 but not so much to a 4r70.

Whats the advantage to do that since i'm one of the guys looking to switch to an auto and i dd my car in summer.

Transbrake with reliability and OD.

Really the 6r80 is a bad ass but its one and only down fall is the steep 1st gear. Dont get me wrong it works but there are other options.

The reason we picked a 4R70 is:
Transbrake
Proven
Lots of up grades
Over Drive
Lock up
Price.

Its not super cheap but its a good trans. Other cool factor is the customer will not need a tune revision to try a different shift point.

Got a 4R70 Mocked up so we can get a driveshaft measurement.





Now we are popping the engine out!!! Say good by to the stock 14.

The is the bad ass Breather tank we are mocking it up for fitment and trying to see how much room we have.
