Happy BDay RJ! Quick question. I think I remember you showing how you routed your Battery Relocate. Is it in this thread or the Wire Tuck one? Trying to figure mine out.

I hope you have better luck with the 299$ rods. Mine had sharp edges standing up from the chamfered brass part, probably they used an old tool. Honing quality was nice and constant too, except on one rod the brass fitting had rougher hatches. I measured the big and small end diameters and they were within ford specs. The rod weights are within +/- 2.7gr, but advertised +/-2gr... you get what you pay for.

Yea like a 1/2" npt female
So what are you going to do for oil drain back?
It doesn't come with a drain for the turbo already in it so I am going to tap it just like the other pan had

It should be in one of them. Id say the wire tuck thread. I just ran mine down the passenger side of the car and then used a junction box up front for the power leads.

If that's the worst of the issues, I'm sure I'll be fine. They have to be better than the boss rods.

Look pretty good to me! I wonder how close in weight they are? I know my Manley rods were almost all identical. The Mahle pistons were spot on with each other too.

Not sure! I still have to get the rotating assembly balanced since the large and small ends will be different since I'm going from I beam to h beams and also turning the crank

Well I just contacted the powdercoat place. Waiting to hear back from them. I pulled the valve cover baffle and found this

^ The oil residue isn't a big deal and won't affect anything, as long as you got all the sand out and can secure the splash shields so they won't fall out or move around. I would also remove and clean the rubber gasket before reassembly.
