Hello all,
2007 Mustang GT

After current work, no more clunkin, accelerates better, but is a little floaty/bouncy. I want the car to be less bouncy and feel planted. Handle curves better.

All recently installed new:

gt500 A arms w/ bjs and bushings
stock height struts
Rear stock height shocks
Front sway bar end links
Poly front sway bar bushings
Inner/outter tie rods

Do I need to get an alignment if I install a watts link?

Do I need an aftermarket sway bar to accompany the watts link?

Would weld in subframe connectors improve handling?

Any recommendations?

Thank you!!!

Replace the stock struts/shocks with something decent - try Bilstein B-6. Also recommend replacing your springs with Rousch while you're at it. Ride is still compliant; just firmer/more composed. If you do lower it you'll need an adjustable panhard bar to recenter the rear end.

Biggest improvement I experienced to the stock floaty ride was replacing the stock rear shocks with Bilsteins. Obviously, the struts should be done as well but I couldn't believe the difference after doing just the rears.

I replaced all the struts and shocks with stock height parts.

I was thinking either rear LCAs, UCA and rear sway bar or spring for the watts bar. The videos make the UCA look not too bad, but I heard read differently.

Down the road when I get use out of the current suspension I will look into the mentioned shocks from above.

I second the motion... you cannot go wrong with Bilstein's.

I did the rear shocks first and immediately noticed the car got up and moved forward, big improvement of acceleration. I think I am going to go with the bmr non-adj UCA, new mount and LCA. See how that feels. Had them on my old 2006 and felt an improvement then. People have mixed opinions on the watts link. So I don’t want to spend 900 yet to find out

What brand shocks and struts did you go with?
