Do you have to store the water/meth in a plastic tank?
I've relocated my battery to the trunk and would love to use the empty space as a water/meth reservoir.

that would work, but I would recommend putting it in the trunk so it stays cooler without having the engine heating it up. With the temps we get under the hood you would be spraying some pretty hot meth/water. Plus the trunk is a little more stealthy.

I'm thinking I'm going to try the blanket and see how much it cools it down. Since the turbo sits right under it, it should help some with keeping the pipe cool. Then if that doesn't work I'll try the meth, since all of my pipes are wrapped minus the headers.

data log the iat first. my pipe gets hot but my iat isnt high. and when it is cold out it is ice cold. but def do the blanket and wrap the pipes. if you can afford to have to car down for a week or so then have the pipes high temp coated inside and out and have the manis coated inside and out. but just go ahead and data log it and post it up so we can see. do part throttle cruise and wide open throttle. as soon as you come to a stop then the iats will just up like crazy but that is normal.

Yeah I've read this idea quite often actually. It's a good one for sure, but the bare spot where my battery once was is a bit of an eyesore for me. I don't like it at all, but don't intend on ever getting an air-to-water intercooler.

Can you store water/meth in an aluminum reservoir or will it corrode it out? I've read that methanol is corrosive to aluminum, but that most mixes include a small amount of water soluble oil, which apparently neutralizes (to some degree) the corrosivity.
All of the reservoirs I've seen online seem to be made of plastic.

its not a good idea to store meth in any concentration in a alu container, it will corrode it. But if you have a all alu setup/theme you want to keep you could either make an alu cover for a plastic tank, or use a 2 part fuel tank repair stuff to coat the inside of an alu tank so the meth is not in contact with it.
