Moved it so I could ride this... 20200525_073119.jpg
Battling myself about whether to sell it or not.
    Custom wheels are expensive!

Started putting my coil overs on. I hope they don’t lower it as much as it seems like it’s going to!

Traded it in. With the move back to Michigan I decided a convertible wasn't really practical as a daily driver (even though I've had them for many years and the first 4 Mustangs were convertibles).

I thought about ordering a GT with what I wanted, but with the build/delivery delays who knows when it would come in, and it was a lot more than I wanted to spend on a new car. Used prices were very high as well, and none had what I was looking for either.

Then I found this 2019 EcoBoost with performance package and the red Recaro interior package, with only 7,400 miles on it. My 2017 had 87,400 miles with the driving I did for almost 2 years between Michigan and North Carolina. The only thing it doesn't have is the heated/cooled seats because of the Recaro seats, but I can add an aftermarket heated seat kit. And it has the heated steering wheel which is nice in Michigan.

I wasn't planning on another white one, and was looking for a blue or orange or the dark red.

Can't get the pictures to load so will try again later.

That can be fixed by a good shop without pulling the glass.
    Glue pull/PDR push to paint.
Refinish A pillar, Rope windshield and backglass, R&I roof molding, R&I taillamp, R&I rear cover. Blend quarter panel (continuous clear), blend fuel door. Depending on market area, thats about a $600-$1000 repair.

I always thought the idea of a heated steering wheel was ridiculous.
    Until I had one.

Same here, until my wife's Lincoln with the heated steering wheel. After that, "what a great idea, especially in the winter in Michigan!!"
I still can't get the pictures to upload. Have to try editing them again and see if I can reduce the size.

Edit: tried editing pictures again, finally got one that will load.

Took the car to a SCCA Autocross evet at the closed Rt66 raceway. I had a lot of fun despite getting lost first time out. This is my second run, so I went a little easier so not to lose the track again. Unfortunately, I had audio disabled on camera by accident.

I think that I resized them enough to load finally. The Recaro seats are really comfortable, my wife said she finds them more comfortable than the seats in my 2017 even though they had more adjustments. I can set up to three gauges in the center, right now I have AFR, diff temp, and oil temp showing since boost and oil pressure are on separate gauges in the performance package. I noticed that the shock tower brace actually is a three point with one going to the firewall.

Spent many summer afternoons chasing after the sun.

Tinted the headlights and fog lights last week. I went with a light tint since I didn't want it to be too dark. I think I like it!

Spent the afternoon setting up brand new 4.30 gears. The old gears were working but sounded like a dump truck coasting. I’m going with Yukon this time and they gave me a good pattern in just a few try’s.

Yukon and Richmond are about the only two gear companies I have used all my life. Never let me down. Though I got my last center section from Strange and I'm not sure if they make their own gears or sub them out.

I see Strange sells US Gear and Motive gears on their site. I read somewhere that Richmond is packaging Motive gears in a Richmond box but don’t know that for sure. The Yukon’s say “made in China” on the box. Haven’t found many negative comments about Yukon gears. I’ll give them a few hundred miles break in before hammering on them and and see how they hold up.

I'm in the market actually to build my rear end. Still trying to figure out what I want to do. I need it to handle up to 950 rear wheel torque. It's time for a rebuild.
