Thanks! Right now I put the car on 4 hockey pucks. It is stable but a pain to align them all at once, I run around in circles several times ;)

Lol, yeah these rails make it so much easier, it's incredible

I know I have mentioned this before but I had the Steeda rails on my 06’ GT convertible for almost 5 years and I swear they tighten up the chassis too.

They were easy to install and simplified jacking up the car at any point of the undercarriage.

I will look through my records but I think I paid $199 directly from Steeda.

I paid $118.80 for my first set, including tax and shipping.
It makes me vomit when I see the $220 current price, plus tax and shipping.

Yeah CJ Pony Parts has them for $199.99. That’s as cheap as I’ve seen lately

Those things look like they would be real easy to fab. I might give this a shot. As soon as I get my son's work van fixed, get my storage shed built, and finish an irrigation install. Watch my website for details. I should have them ready for shipment by summer of 2029

They would be 350$ all incl. in Germany via Steeda EU :(
So, I guess that is the winter storage welding project.

But, you cant use the scissor jack anymore?

Sorry guys I don’t have them for sale. that was a snipet from my invoice. My 06’ GT convertible was put out to pasture last year and the rails went with it.

Some of these cars, like mine, didn't come with a jack.
But the whole point of the rails is the ease of lifting it. You lift in one spot, the whole side of the car goes up, you put your jack stands under the front and rear of the rails, you're done.
Rinse and repeat for the other side.

When I want to go high, I start at the low setting of the Jack stands one one side, then go higher on the other side, and keep alternating sides until I reach desired height.

I also have some wood cribbing I occasionally use under the tires, as extra safety in case something happens with the stands

They are great when you have to tighten bolts form the suspension on ride height. Wood prices of 2x4 have become shocking here.

Yes, I think that picture was taken when I had it level setting the rear driveshaft angle

When I look at your beautiful Shelby, I painted the upper half of my mirror with the color of my stripes, as a styling idea

Thanks but the gray car above is my '13 GT, not a Shelby.
I've posted pictures of a white with blue stripes '08 Shelby, that's my wife's car. She got it about 2 months before we met.

I had new tires put on today, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires. The crap Pirelli were down to the wear bars and I was glad to get rid of them. But Belle Tire couldn't mount them without damaging the "Rimblades rim savers" that I put on, mainly to give the wheel lip some contrast between the tire and the black performance package wheels. Guess I need to strip and paint the wheel lip now.

Also had the brake fluid flushed for Mohawk Track Experience in August, but need to replace the rear pads and rotors before then.

Pulled the cowl drains after finding water in my floorboard, drains were clogged up but the actual cowl felt clear to my fingers. Ran the hose over it and it all seemed to dump out ok, thinking I just got unlucky with the crazy downpour and the clogged rubber drains.

May not be your cowl drains. Found that my upper window seals had perished and were leaking. You can fix it inexpensively (purchase some 1/8 - 3/16" dense foam tape) for $20 at a hardware store or buy the orig replacement foam tape (60 - 100/side) from Ford. I tried both routes (my and my son's car). Both work. To prevent it in the first place? Get a set of stick-on drip rails... ~$100. Got a set for my son's car. No more issues.

Check this thread for the door trim seal that failed on one of my Mustangs.

Interesting.. the drains were pretty packed with dirt but this is something I definitely need to dig into too. Thanks!
