Excuse me sir. There will be no working on a car in the driveway.....Especially in a school zone!
In Germany it is often not allowed to wash your car in a driveway when the water goes down the street, but not working on it? Isn't it a bit too much?
But the strangest for me is the HOA. My neighbor should tell me what to do on my ground? GFU ;)

I get what you are saying. HOA is a choice. Persoanlly I like living in a community with rules. I don't have Boates and unsightly vehicles in driveways or on the side of the house, etc. ALot of people say no to it. I a m just so used to it. Oh yeah.....I am also th ePresident of the HOA. Fortunately, most of our residents are long terma dn are not issues at all. mEvery once in a while we get someone that decide to do something they are not supposed to.

I'm not sure if a similar association in Germany exist. There are gardening associations for big cities where you can rent a small garden area maybe 10x15 m with a small cabin on it for weekends, barbecue or so. These areas have strict rules and usually a long waiting list.
Such things like no car repair on my ground is very strange for me. Basically the only rules are be quiet before 7 AM and after 8 PM and sometimes 1-2 PM. So no chain saw or mower allowed or the beloved leaf blower.

There's some good HOAs and some bad. The one where I am now is pretty chill, they don't usually bother you unless your house or yard are starting to look rough. But the last one I was at was weird. On one hand, they did stuff like call me to say I wasn't allowed to have storage bins on my patio (wasn't me but whatever), yet they were fine with me working on my car in the parking lot (I was always had the car back on all 4 tires by the end of the day though). And then they got a bug up their ass because my old car had NY plates on it. Usually it's one old lady on the board who makes it her mission to get you to obey.

I've lived in my HOA for 18 years now. As long as they're not intrusive I don't mind. They provide maintenance and security for our neighborhood. I have only had two infractions in 18 years. One was when I swapped my brake pads in the street instead of the driveway because my driveway is not level. They dropped any fine because I argued that routine maintenance was allowed. I showed them that my car warranty labeled brake pads as a normal maintenance item and that the language was subjective and they agreed. The second rule violation was displaying an outdoor flag other than only the US flag. I've always had my American flag plus another seasonal flag like the Raiders, Golden Knights or NHRA or whatever. My clever solution was to move my flags 3 ft inside the threshold of the house and they couldn't say anything. My garage door stays open most of the day now. They're not real happy with it but it is conforming to the bylaws.

First issue with that if run properly, they can't just issue a fine. It is based on what By Laws or Docs satte. Letter needs to be sent. If not addressed withi 30 days letter #2. If it gets to letter #3 then the resident has to deal with a non-partial fining comittee. They hear bot sides, evaluate and then send there decision to the board to eiter fine or not fine. We as Board members can't just fine if we choose. There is a process. As for workin on the car.....Probably says no but there is flexibility inless your Board are just A Holes

Didn't do anything WITH either Mustang but I did clear out the garage of the leftover tile from our bathroom reno project, so they'll both be going back in there tomorrow, just in time before the ice storm we're forecast comes down and makes a mess.
I'll be much happier with them back in the garage.

Yeah I had to go to a couple of meetings to get everything settled. They're not really a-holes but just stupid. We once had an issue where there were a couple of close calls between cars and kids. Speed limit is 15 in the neighborhood. Their solution was they banned kids playing in the street. That didn't last long.

That is just outrageously dumb and sets the HOA up for lawsuits. Kids will be kids.

Thanks guys. No boost just yet. It may happen in the future but I just want to get it running right now. I’ve spent 2.5 years and too much money to get to this point!

The setup:
Gen3 short block
Gen 2 heads
Gen 1 comp cam stage 3 NA cams
Ford Twin 65mm throttle body
PMAS cobra jet intake
BBK 1 7/8 headers (budget) with catted x pipe
Boundary oil pump and crank sprocket
ARP head studs, cam caps, and phaser bolts
Boss 302 alternator
LU 47 injectors
340 lph fuel pump
Exedy Mach 500 clutch with Exedy flywheel (street car and fit the budget)
Make it Modular wire harness

I put the studs in just in case I boost it in the future but I have got to the point where I need to run it and make sure everything is good before I throw more money at it. Hoping to have a startup tune in a couple weeks. There’s snow on the ground here. I normally don’t get the car out til mid March so I hope everything can be finished by then.

FYI you can negotiate the annual Sirius subscription. They like to jack it up $$$ after the first year.
