Well I guess there is some hope. Lol

Managed to score a FRPP GT500 strut brace today for $150. Beats all the vendors on eBay selling them for $330.

Where'd you get that??!!!

are niccce but they are deeper than the oem. They may work fine on oem location. You may have fittment issues on the dob setup tho.

With that on yous setup...
* You could find hood clearance problems,
*valve cover clearance,
*cop clearance
*possibly fuel rail clearance.
**Not to mention the rear support bracket for the dob manifold will not work... and you must use something.

I thought about that a few moons ago before I purchased my custom 200 amp DOB alt. Glad I did. DOB is now making 160amp alternators that will fit the DOB manifold.

The 200 amp DOB alt is no longer offered as it was cost prohibitive and required a new front alt bracket. Nice piece tho!

Got a call that my Air Lift Performance Digital Combo Kit is in and ready for pickup. Will need to talk one of my girls into taking me, as it is approximately 5 more weeks before I can drive after my hip surgery.

Went for a drive to do some logging and filled up the gas tank. It's actually kind of nice not have a extremely loud exhaust. I do miss the couple hundred extra hp though.

Ordered the dual upr catch can kit off their website.

Kinda unsure if I should replace the filter media. Stuff looks like steel wool type material that could end up in the intake. Parnaoid?

I'd like to see pics of the insides of those cans when you get them.
I've seen pics of cans with metal shavings in there, loose filter media, missing parts.
I wonder if they've fixed any of these issues lately ...

Personally, I wouldn't put UPR stuff on my car if it was given to me free.

I like UPRs dual setup. With the braided lines and ford fittings it cant be beat. I wouldnt worry about the media getting sucked into the intake. Very unlikely. I will be ordering uprs setup soon myself. Gabe let me guess, you like jlt?

I'll open the cans up when I get them and examine the media for any loose shavings or pieces. Probably blast everything out with my compressor just to be safe.

I think damage is highly unlikely. Correct me if I'm wrong but a small piece of filter media sucked into the intake would most likely just end up in the exhaust. That said part of me still doesn't like it. But I will probably deal with it and just take things apart every year or two and make sure everything is g2g.
