Thats an interesting design. Wonder how much better it is being attached to the axle tubes like that...
It makes no difference. As long as its mounted firmly and the attachment doesn't flex or keep the bar from twisting freely it doesn't care how it's mounted.

The guy who repairs the wheels at our store does a really good job at replicating wheel colors. I'm like 90% sure I want to do dark bronze though. You are right though, bronze has a ton of different finishes. I want something with a metallic flake, but satin finished. For some reason after touching the current finish on the Rotiforms, they have some terrible grime grease marks that do not want to budge.

The sandblast clear or with a tint would be very nice too.... damnit

When you say "Repair", do they repair curb rash?

Where at? Hopefully not far, I've been wanting to correct the curb rash on my wheels for months since some asshole cut into my lane and forced me to grind the sidewalk.

I always forget the name, it is not a stand-alone shop though. It's a pre-owned European car dealer in Fairfax and then you walk in the back and they have all kinds of machinery dedicated to wheels. I've seen wheel refinishing before but these guys did great with the following things:

-Completely repainted and matched one of my damaged Bullitt wheels, they also filled in the brushed sidewall and smoothed it.
-My grandma damaged two wheels on my grandpa's Bentley where the spokes had chunks taken out of them and they completely restored them and matched the color. They are not a simple looking wheel either.
-Repaired paint and curb rash on a 2010 Harley Davidson F150 wheel, the ones with the monochromatic 'Lava' painted pockets on the wheel.

If you find out the name let me know. Fairfax isn't too far from me, so I think I might just have to take a drive down there soon.

LMAO ... I had to scroll up to see what you were talking about ...

She's supercharged too though, and she's hearing whining from under her hood when she's driving her Shelby too ... lol

Religated it to garage queen & nice weather cruiser status as I finally got my DD paper work straight. Got tired of parking in BFE at work and still having to worry about door dings...

Now to tint the windows, get two red and two blue tissue boxes, install my old CB radio, and get a push bar...

* is not happy about it, I figured a black dog would be comfy in the back seat...

Being the Moses of the highway is nice...
