Got adjustable sway bars and rear lower control arms installed. Nice and tight in the corners. Also put in a volante steering wheel wich I’m really liking. Plus my cruise control doesn’t work due to the coyote swap so the buttons on the wheel where pointless.

Rebuilt my tune from scratch. SCT advantage III was padding some of the files (added 2-4Mb) and SCT support was like, Yea, it does that. They told me that after I got the software. This always kind of bothered me. Now, I was able to save the tunes with just a few kb added. I hope that this will keep the two codes I would get.
So, stock strategy + swap specific settings + SCT 93 octane value file, is loaded now.

I’ve been procrastinating on tuning software sense purchasing a supercharger. Just can’t choose between SCT and HP. I read SCT is limited now by EPA overreach and won’t allow a full race tune (no cats) and that HP is more difficult to learn.

I have full access with SCT, dont believe the hype. You take a 20 min open book test and you are all set. You sign a form that you will not disable emission shit for a street driven vehicle.
SCT is the only tuning software that is emission testing friendly (if that matters)
As you can see from my post, I find it a bit 'scetchy'. I have had to flash the same tune twice on a few occasions.
If you own an x4, its a no brainer, sct.
If you dont have a tuner device, price is about the same for both.
HP will work the same. But they have not been targeted by the EPA yet.
I find pretty much all tuning software laid out very similiar. I have used TunerPro to tune my 91. Interface is practically identical IMO.
I also had Syked tuning hardware software, same basic interface, but Kevin could not get it to work on my swap. Did not have support for the Control pac strategy, so I was left with a no crank/no start condition.

I have two theories on the file size funkiness.
1 I entered a value in a field that it does not like. Some values change slightly when moving to next field.
2 some areas of the tune when changed, cause this additional file size change.
Not sure yet on this

I have my old (now unmarried) X3 and a newer X4 I have seen using to transfer files and datalog. Being familiar with SCT I have ben leaning towards the Advantage software but keep hearing tails of whoa from people who could not tune off road vehicles. It sounds like with a little effort the software from SCT will work for me. Thank you for you insight.

I should have gotten the Advantage software before I even fired the coyote for the first time. I thought a stock engine would be easy for a shop to tune. It was not the case. lol I had my idle fixed within a couple of revisions.
One of the best purchases made IMO.

What is that?
Valve keeper. Just like Kazman59 said. Changing valve springs with engine in car is a nightmare. Even with the correct tools! I can’t get my old, less agile fingers anywhere near the exhaust valve keepers and down it went. Thankfully it went to the bottom of the pan. Now the heads are on the bench and all the springs are changed.

Performed 500 mi service on my rear axle after new gear install & serviced TR3650 fluid while I had car in the air..........

On TR3650 trans found that local Ford dealership had overfilled unit (fluid coming out filler port on plug removal......car was level) on initial trans service after buying car thus fluid (MC Mercon V ATF) was dark brownish-red colored from potential fluid overheat thus breakdown (been in for 3+ yrs but less than 13K.....looked up TR3650 overfill issues, found that fluid overheat\foaming\breakdown was main issue from overfilling). Reloaded w\ 2 1\2 qts of Valvoline Mercon V ATF & 1 bottle (3\4 qt) of Lucas Hi Perf Transmission Fix to hit the 3.2 qts recommended fill volume (supposedly at the 1\2"-3\4" level below fill port.......got no spill out the fill port while refilling). Since my original trans has 158,312 mi on it currently, I'm testing the Lucas to see how it works out (formulated to work in manual trans as well as automatics).

On the rear axle (shop used Lucas Hi Perf 85W-140 GL-5 dino gear fluid on break-in.......all On3 carries), fluid was in like fresh condition w\ no sign of overheat at all (good ole FoMoCo 8.8" Track Pack finned diff cover) or breakdown (no stinky smell). Checked mag drain plug......had hardly any metal on it at all so no gear mesh\bearing wear to speak of. Good for lube.......not so good for initial gear break-in so reloaded axle w\ some Lucas Hi Perf 80W-90 GL-5 dino gear fluid (thinner viscosity when hot to see if gears will wear mesh better......). All else looked good inside. This Lucas Hi Perf 85W-140 GL-5 dino gear fluid is some good stuff but hot viscosity\lubricity may be too good to be used for initial gear break-in\street use from my observations.

PS--Got an Eaton Tru-Trac diff installed thus why the dino GL-5 fluid........

Good info! I am planning a trans fluid change due to age (only 10K miles). Would you recommend the Lucas additive or just straight Mercon V on a low mileage fluid exchange? Thx!

Ordered 5 injectors after only changing 1 last week. And ordered a leather steering wheel cover that stitches together. We will see how it works.

IMHO, if your low mileage 3650 is shifting OK I'd just use straight Mercon V ATF of the brand of your choice (I used Valvoline cause that's the brand of Mercon V ATF that O'Reiley's carried where I live). As for the Lucas additive, I'm trying it out due to a noted quirk w\ my 3650 when car is sitting still idling & clutch is depressed & trans is initially shifted into gear, car rolls slightly then stops once in gear......you'd think this is from clutch drag......but if you keep the clutch depressed then shift trans into any other gear, it goes in w\o any drag or force whatsoever & car stays still.......until you put it in neutral, release clutch to spin the clutch disc\trans input shaft then depress clutch & shift into gear & the whole thing starts again in exactly the same manner described. My read is this quirk is not actually due to physical clutch drag (should repeat car movement even w\ clutch still depressed when shifting into any other gear after initial gear shift) but was due to bad fluid\worn synchro's (having slight issues synching up shift sleeve to gears off inertia of spinning clutch disc until it is stopped by the 1st gear shift then has no more issue shifting into any other gear until inertia is restored to the clutch disc) & since my trans has high mileage on her, thus the use of the Lucas additive to see how it works out to see if it can keep my 3650 trans working long enough to line up a replacement trans. Shifts Ok otherwise.

Finding the trans overfilled was a surprise as I (here's that magic word) assumed that the local Ford techs knew better..............

Ran a cold test on her this morning.......it seems that this Lucas additive is starting to work as this quirk was almost gone.......car barely moved when initially shifted into gear w\ clutch depressed......on cold ATF. This used to have more resistance to engage gear when cold prior fluid changeout. Could also just be fresh Mercon V ATF making a difference being filled to the proper fill levels as well.

So far, I can't see any downside to using it from what I'm seeing to date.
