Just wondering what mods people have done that they regret due to a waste of money or problems.

Mine would have to be the Shelby hood pins. Though needed for the track going over 100 mph, I am just not totally sold on them. The other would be the side exhaust. It does look cool, but the ground clearance is a constant PITA.

I agree side exhaust is the only MOD I ever regretted buying because it ended with a brand new paint job and countless other things just to make it better.

Sometimes I regret buying the car. I haven't had any issues with it either. I'm just never "done" and always thinking about what to do next. Big moneypit.

Ain't that the truth, I'm so far into my car that there is no turning back. THe bad thing is, I still need a built short block and trans.

Almost ashamed to admit it but a Steeda throttle body spacer. That is what I get for trusting advertising. But in my defense it was very early into ownership and nobody was bashing them at the time..... AWESOME paper weight!

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, same on me. ;)

This is why I have very little trust with vendors who are trying to push their own product. It is an abomination to the community.

If I was to do it over....I should have skipped the cai/tune and cams and went straight to the supercharger.

Wasted money was the magnetic blackout panel. Was only $20.....but what a waste. It shrunk and is now stuck to the side of my washing machine! LOL

Tried to get as much HP as I could while staying NA, and spent a ton of cash just to reach 360 rwhp on my daily driver. Yep me too, should have gone right to the Whipple....!!!!

Getting SLP Loudmouths, Pype Bombs and Magnaflow Catted X. I'm getting Cervinis side exhaust and I want that to be my final setup, I just wish I would have gotten that from the beginning.

My first regret was buying the superchips tuner instead of the diablosport first.
Second regret buying my turbo kit from STS turbo. garbage design. takes in water real quick. big turbo lag and loss of low end torque. once I moved the turbo under the hood all was good. lag gone and low end torque was back. should have gone powerhouse the first time around but bought into STS's claim of lower intake temps means more power. It probably does add up to more power but not when you have to avoid puddles and driving in the rain so you dont hydro-lock your engine up. STS turbo is crap..

Putting a locker in while I have the manual transmission in the car. I thought I was going to be able to convert to an auto maybe late summer, but there's no way that is happing that soon.

4.10s with a saleen sc. 480whp is too much on street tires with 4.10s. Should have gone 3.73s at most. Probably 3.55s. Once I get tires it will be ok though
