My sub straps are mounted to the seat base using Sparco eyebolts with double washers and ny lock nuts. As you see in the pictures there is a reinforcing angle welded just in front of the bolts. This is factory Sparco. With the seat racked back the subs are aligned at 0 degrees, when I am in driving position they are mounted slightly behind my chest (or belly LOL) line like they should be. Solid setup. For the lap belts I used Cool Tech clips on the rear seat mounting bolts, made from 3/16" thick steel plate and they allow direct pull angles with the clip in belts. Harnesses are Sparco HANS Style with 2" shoulder straps where they costs over your Hans and 3" lap belts, latch is on the 6 point subs. Cool Tech roll bar has the shoulder harnesses mounted just below my shoulder height and I used SFI roll bad padding as a spreader with 1 3/4" aluminum split bearing rings to keep the straps in position.

Similar to what Steve did with his belts, I have a piece of foam to keep the harness in alignment. I also added an additional piece of foam where the harness bends to prevent the harness from sliding during an impact.

I have been using the stock Recaros with Corbeau 4 point safety harness. I went to Vorshlag on Wednesday to have a quick check of the car and to have the Whiteline Transmission bushing installed. Talked to Terry about a 6 point harness and racing seats. As we were talking I decided to wait on upgraded. However, woke up on Thursday and rethought my position and stop by the shop.

I talk to Matt about getting two of the Sukuka Pro Fit GT seats. Well Terry came by and suggested I go with the Cobra Sukuka Pro Fit GT for drivers seat and Imola Pro Fit GT for passenger seat to save some money. I thought that was awesome. Terry has already said he would hook me up with vinyl numbers for the NASA event at ECR in November. Then Terry goes on to tell me that since they are already planning on mass producing a seat slider for the seats he will get mine done first.

To be honest I was planing on doing this over time. However, now I really am excited about having these seats installed for the NASA event in November. Thanks Terry!

Just bought seats for my car, they are going in next weekend.

Drivers seat I got a Recaro Pro Racer Hans

Passenger seat I got a Cobra Monaco

Mounting everything using stuff from Planted Technology, these are very nice pieces and well worth every penny.

Spent a little bit more for my seat

Belts for now are just Schroth Clubman III, I got a good used set off of someone which will work for the rest of this season. I will flip the new set I bought for me to the passenger side then get a HANS set in the off season. Probably the Schroth Profi III for the drivers side.

Install completed this weekend

Corbeau Harness Bar. It is temporary until I back half the car, hopefully I can get that done sometime next season. Might have to get the Recaro Pro Racer Hans XL, the non-XL seat is a little tight.

Scaring myself already considering how much I do not move at all going around turns on the street. Not like I am going above the speed limits but we all know turns that you will slide a little bit going around. I am not moving at all anymore. Makes me very excited for Watkins Glen this weekend.

How do you like the Clubman III? I ordered one after comparing its price to the ProFi

It will work for now. I will be ordering a Profi III once I get a Hans device this winter. The 3" shoulder belts on the Clubman III will work for the Hans but the Profi III will just be more comfortable. From you signature pic I am guessing you mostly autocross which for the Clubman III you will be fine, the two minutes you are buckled in wont get to you. But once you are spending 25-30 minutes strapped in it can get uncomfortable. You will find the money in your budget for that comfort.

Just a recommendation, but we run the Profi-IIH. It's made for HANS and uses a 2" lap belt. This will actually hold you better in the car than a 3" lap.

Thank you for the tip, I've been thinking about that but I have wanted to try that out to see what I would like better. It is an off season/winter purchase so hopefully I can get into some other cars for a comparison.

Schroth Enduro harness...

1385_SCHROTH_Enduro_Gurt_e46918ff.jpg

Hands down, the EASIEST harness set I've ever used in terms of fitment and adjustment after buckling. I've got mine configured for pull-up laps and pull-down shoulders, and it's a dream when you're buckling up. The releases are silk-smooth, but stay tight even in the bumpiest conditions, and the T-bar crotch straps with integrated buckle are a LOT more comfortable than the typical setups. Not all that cheap, though.

What roll bar are you running?

Well I get another shot at this. A buddy of mine is going to buy my Corbeau's, so I probably will go with the seat I wanted in the first place.

I sold both of the FX1 seats out of my car and will be replacing them with one Kirkey containment seat.
